Overview
Originally taken into Arcadia when she was only a child, Ziv often feels fairly out of touch with the human world. She doesn't really know how to 'be' human, save for what she learned up to part of the way through middle school. Modern references sail over her head, and frequently her vocabulary isn't as good as it should be. Not to mention her manners often leave something to be desired: she has a tendency to stare, get too up close and personal, and societal qualms aren't up her alley.
Nevertheless, she is attempting to adapt to the human world, which is why she's in Fort Brunsett: it's easier to do so in a small town, in an out of the way place, where the world is much smaller. Ziv is also part of the Winter Court. For all of their focus on sorrow and grief, Ziv regards this as a manner of acceptance. It's not something to drown in, or run away from, and so frequently offers up a sympathetic air and affection to those who need it. She's very community-based and social, in spite of her skittish and secretive demeanor befitting of a Winter Court batling.
While part of her mourns her lost life, and feeling of solitude; another, fervent part of Ziv wishes to return to the sky. To feel the wind beneath her wings (which are presently too small to fly) and lose herself in an animalistic nature. She carries with her aspects that might draw her into returning to this, whether it be the nature of a Beast or her own sorrow at what was lost, what could have been, and what never was.
RP Hooks
- The Night's Voice - Ziv has a beautiful, haunting singing voice that often times seems to echo when she does sing. As of late she hasn't put it to much use, but is capable of creating melodies on a whim and performing them. Lyrics are usually a more complicated endeavor.
- A Feral Heart - Ziv has a knack with animals - particularly those of chiropteran nature - and enjoys work with wild creatures especially.
- Dreams of the Sky - Most of what Ziv remembers about her Durance is dreams of the sky and freedom. She desires to find a way to experience something closer to true flight again, in the real world.
- Rude - As someone who spent half of their life or more as a bat-creature in Arcadia, Ziv doesn't have much respect for (or at least knowledge of) human social mores. She has a tendency to stare, and to get right up into people's personal space without hesitation. Bats are social creatures that live in colonies, so if she has any care (or hatred) for someone she might get directly up into their business.
