“ "I was beginning to wonder if nobody in this town could solve my riddle. I'm not nearly so good at them as... My. Dear. Trickster."”
– Vorpal
Overview
Johnny Drexel is a man out of time, displaced from the Great Depression into modern day. He's a body artist, specializing in scarification, and new to town.
Vorpal, however, is a very different man- if he can truly still be called that. Possessed of tremendous and redoubled connection to the Wyrd as well as standing amongst the Lost Pantheon, he has precious few strands connecting him to mortal life at all. His flesh is either wreathed in shadow or flees the light entirely, his eyes are permanently lost to darkness, and his hands are as gloves for the prehensile blades serving as his fingers. He insists he is benign, here to teach and strengthen the Lost of his Trickster's flock- but how can you trust something so close to being Them?
RP Hooks
- Divine - Vorpal is a God. Or, at least a member of the Lost Pantheon. He's also terribly, TERRIBLY Wyrd. Even masked, everyone can tell something is up. Want to investigate the weirdness?
- Famous - Johnny Drexel is famous for his scar art- only a little famous, but he IS known among the community. As for changelings... word travels when Gentry die, and word is, he faced down the Beast That Walks- and it did not walk away. Is it more interesting if it's bullshit? Or true?
- Teacher - He claims to be here to teach. Teach what, though? Want to find out?
The Pantheon
- My Trickster - Even the best of blades needs a whetstone to keep them sharp. Mine isn't content to hone my physical edges- she hones my mind.
Contacts
- The Captain - A good sport. Cautious. Little too quick on the draw.
- The Sleuth - For someone who speaks to their phone to send written words, they solved my riddle awfully fast.
- The Hippy - Left before I could introduce myself. Wise, lucky, or neither? We'll see.
- The Loner - Smart. Tried to talk to me. Maybe worth a little attention.
- The Gypsy - Intriguing little girl. Plays at fortunes through science -and- superstition. Delightfully honest with herself.
