The Greenies have their January meeting.

Location

The Ruined Garden

It's Sunday in the Ruined Garden and per the usual, there's donuts, coffee and hot chocolate to drink. The garden has been going through changes. New benches having been built and the old wood being hauled off to be used in the fires in the Broken Hearth. Isolde is sitting on one of the benches munching on a donut. Because that's how the Bright One is rolling tonight.

The mermaid's favorite part of the ruined garden is the pool, of course, which is why Etsy is lolling around in it, most of her body underwater. She keeps it neatly weeded except for whate's supposed to grow there; her pale skin shimmers with scale patterns, even the nasty patterns of scars on her back that mar the mermaid's otherwise delicate appearance. She's skipped all the non-meat food is humming to herself, a casually rising-and-falling siren song, her clothing folded neatly next to the pool's edge.

Nathania walks in, carrying beef jerky. It's homemade, sweet and spicy, and she sets the big tupperware container down beside the donuts before nodding at Isolde. "Evening," she says pleasantly, if tiredly, before loading up a small paper plate with a donut and some of the homemade jerky. She also sets a small plate of jerky next to Etsy with a smile. "Merms," she says warmly.

The Captain comes in without kittens -- Dielle has them all now -- and by himself and on foot, with his big damn sword strapped to his back and his satchel in evidence, and carrying a covered pot of pierogis somewhat defiantly.

"Sorry about the glitter," he says, his tinny, hollow, short-wave radio in a tin can voice preceding him. "In advance."

Cassian arrived as he usually did when it came time to venture into the garden: his tiny place on the wall that overlooked the garden. Quick steps carry him up, before he drapes along it, like a predatory cat, to see who had come. Things had been quiet lately, and with a Winter under the crown, Cassian was ... lethargic, to say the least.

"Dollyyyyyyy," trills Etsy in happy greeting, before she, laying on her stomach at the edge of the pool, stretches both of her hands out toward the tupperware container, which does not, despite how much she seems to want it to, levitate over to her hands and deliver to her the beef jerky. Her Mantle messily takes over the pool, all vines and small white flowers. Those grabby hands have a thin metal band perched on the second knuckle of the left ring finger. Greetings will come after she has willed the meat into her face, apparently.

"Hiya all." Isolde offers with a smile to everyone that comes in. The mention of glitter makes her eyebrow quirk up at Czcibor, "Did you contract the herpes of the crafts world?" she asks him. Then there's a look to Cassian as he comes in and then as he lounges on his wall. "I don't think we have much business tonight, but I wanted to get us all together just to touch base." she admits. "I know there was an incident in the hedge the other night and people helped heal. So thank you for that." she offers a nod to Etsy and the others. "The garden is doing well and we're starting to get the place back in shape. So it's a bit more progress each week." she states.

Nathania sets the plate of jerky next to the mermaid, a small one but piled high with deliciousness. Then she looks to Czcibor. "...Glitter?" she echoes. Then she settles in on a bench, listening to Isolde.

"...yes. Hopefully there's no glitter in the pierogis," Czcibor says hesitantly, putting the pot down near the beef jerky, then fishing in his satchel for paper bowls and those bamboo forks that are totally biodegradable. "There's a girl in Fort Brunsett who inherited a pirate strip glub from her uncle, and she's been healing up the dancers with goblin fruit smoothies and stuff. But, uh, there's a lot of glitter involved in pirate stripping, apparently."

The plate of jerky is all that Etsy needs: her piranha-sharp teeth start tearing into the meat, and she wiggles her fingers in greeting at Cassian, falling silent. It's the easiest way to occupy an Etsy: meat.

Isolde gives a chuckle to Czcibor, "Well, Glitter is a definite thing to find in a strip club, yes." she tells him. Then she crosses one knee over the other, "Do the Master Healer or Master Gardener have any business this evening?" she asks as she looks between Czcibor and Cassian.

A salute of his hand is offered by way of Etsy, and her meat-eating habits. "No business--The woodcraft looks nice. Go to anyone I know in the market, or are these Grandmaster-works?" He asks, curiously, as he glances between them.

Nathania listens, eating. She's silent.

Not enough meat in the pierogis. Czcibor's head tilts down to look at them, then puts the lid back on so they don't get cold. He will totally eat them himself later. He looks up at Isolde. "Just Charlie's quests." He glances toward Etsy, reaching up to scratch the back of his neck, which makes a soft dull scraping sound. "You're going on one of them, right, Etsykska?" He looks to Isolde and shifts his weight, arm crossed over his chest. "The fact that there was no healer with the group that went out to find out stuff about... Zorak? Kind of worries me. If they go out again, someone should probably go with them in case they run into anything bigger, or into another mortal, or they bring a mortal with them again. And then there's the third group, I'm not sure if anyone who can heal is going on that one-- most of the time it's not so much of a problem because," he nods toward Cassian, "people can use fruit, but only a few people can heal mortals with them." He deliberately takes a breath. "And I've been on hedge campaigns where there has not been anything to harvest, anywhere, and the party's stores got used up. So if anyone's got time to go looking for another freehold, or to help out with the Zorak Hunters, that'd be appreciated."

Isolde gives a nod to Cassian when he says he doesn't have anything, "The woodwork is my work." she tells him with a smile. The the smile sobers as she listens to Czcibor and she nods to him, "I'd heard of the quests from King Charlie O, though I was not able to go out on the one the other night." she states. "I will make sure that someone from the Greenies is on the Quest or that they have stores from us that will get them through hopefully. Though one of us would be better." she admits. "I'll send a note to the King." she states.

"Am goings on a things to look for a Markets, because can do a talks," answers Etsy, apparently delighted by the way in which her name gets all changed up by Czcibor. She puts another chunk of meat into her mouth, chewing on it. Gnaw gnaw gnaw. "Am the best of a talks for persuades. Haruki loves me, he did a sayings." As if that's somehow proof.

Nathania tilts her head. "I will... go looking... for the freeholds," the blonde says, thoughtful.

"Excellent." Isolde states to them when she hears that others are indeed going to go out on the quests. Then there's a smile, "I didn't want to keep people long. I wanted to see if we had a lot of business and get the bit we did hashed out. So if no one has anything else then we can call it a meeting." she tells them with a warm smile.

"Okay. Thanks-- and awesome, Etsy," Czcibor says, a smile in his voice, even if his face won't move. "You're a lot better at that than I am, for sure." He glances at Nathania and Isolde and Cassian, and asks a little plaintively, "Does anyone want to take some pierogi home? I made so many I'll be eating them for a week..."

Nathania laughs. "I'd love... to," she says to Czci.

Cassian considers the conversations thoughtfully. He knew of Charlie's 'quests', but, he hadn't seen much how he could contribute to them. So, he had left them to people better suited. That doesn't keep him from listening, however, to what people had to say.
