Overview

Cross does not do a lot of talking about himself. I mean, he doesn't do a lot of talking, but definitely not about himself. But some stuff is clear. He's old. His durance clearly lasted some damn time, because he doesn't get computers and social media and iPhones and not just in a your grandpa doesn't get technology sort of way, but in a is still alarmed at TVs and impressed with radios sort of way. He's grim as hell, so whatever his Keeper did to him it wasn't super cool? Sure, no one's Keeper is great to them, but people make it out able to smile. Somewhere along the lines he lost that. And he occasionally references having once been a man of God, but he certainly isn't any longer.

Oh, and he speaks with an Irish accent, but Jason Cross isn't a particularly Irish name.

RP Hooks

  • Business Owner - He owns an overpriced cocktail lounge in Fort Brunsett called Badb Catha.
  • Old As Hell - He disappeared in 1910. Did you? Probably not.
  • New To Town - Sure, this hook works for a month or two.

Contacts

  • His great great great grandchild - Is this you?!
  • Poppy - First friend in town. Fantastically helpful. TRYING NOT TO BE SUSPICIOUS OF THAT!
  • CB - Poppy thought that if you got two grumpy people together they'd be fast friends. Turns out they're just twice as grumpy.
  • Audrey - Bartender at Badb Catha. Nothing else. Nope. Nope nope.

The good ol' days. How do you work this fucking thing? There's a big smile!

Soundtrack

Tom Waits - Black Wings

Some say he once killed a man with a guitar string.
He's been seen at a table with kings.
Well he once saved a baby from drowning.
There are those who say that beneath his coat there are wings.

Steven Williams - Pariah (Demo)

So pariah, you'll dig in again. That's comfort to you.
It's up to you now.
So the day will begin again. That's comfort to me.
It's up to me now.
I'm still here and I will live again. That's comfort to me.
And I'm empty of history and soul.

Johnny Cash - Hurt

What have I become?
My sweetest friend.
Everyone I know goes away in the end.
And you can have it all, my empire of dirt.
I will let you down.
I will make you hurt.
