Kith Blessings
Passive Blessing: The Mercurial Visage
- Mirrorskins gain 9-again (/9) on disguise (typically Wits+Subterfuge) rolls. All of the Mirrorskin's disguise rolls affect both Mask and Mien.
This blessing, as with the others for this kith, is about physical subterfuge, and less about mental/social. The 9-again to disguise rolls is to represent the character's innate, minor shape-shifting talent, and if used creatively can be effective in more ways than the obvious. Shifting features to be more 'generic' in a crowd, for example, would grant that 9-again to stealth rolls. Another example would be to change their voice, granting a 9-again to Expression rolls to mimic somebody else. While the 9-again isn't for all rolls of one skill, it is designed to be as broad and mercurial as its possessor.
Active Blessing: Imitator's Insight
- Mirrorskins may spend a Glamour once per scene to roll Manipulation + Subterfuge. On a success, the Mirrorskin may either ask the ST a question per success about the person being impersonated OR add the successes to a single roll relevant to the impersonated person's abilities.
This ability only applies when the Mirrorskin is actively impersonating the individual in a situation with consequences if they fail.
For example, walking down the street with the face of a guy who guards a lab complex would NOT be enough to learn information about him. Disguising yourself and attempting to get INTO the lab complex while pretending to be said guard, however, would be, since there would be the threat of being unmasked and revealed for a fake.
High Wyrd Blessing
- The Mirrorskin is a convincing actor. Others receive a -1 penalty to their own dice pools when attempting to see through the character's deceptions.
- HR
Example Frailties
- Cannot abide being called by true name, injured by strikes to the shadow, cannot ignore questions posed to them, repelled by mirrors, must stop and listen to echoes, cannot tread on broken glass.
