Overview
Even if you can only see her Mask, Paz seems like the kind of person who means business. The kind of person whose every edge is rough, not just some of them. She's tall enough that she almost always stands out in a crowd, strong enough that the crowd tends to get out of her way, and scarred enough to suggest that she'll have no problem going through anyone who gets in the way. There's rarely a smile on her face.
If you can see her mien it doesn't make her seem any softer. In fact, she looks like a sandstorm decided to take the shape of something between human and a dragon, and though it shouldn't really be possible for a furiously swirling cloud of dust to have claws and fangs, she defies logic and does so anyway. In fact, she even manages to wear clothes, though they tend to always look like they've seen too much wear.
That's what you get when you take a girl who grew up in a bad part of Philadelphia in an immigrant family, who then got dragged off to Arcadia by a faerie and forced to haunt a desert as a monstrous living sandstorm for a few years. Hardness without creates hardness within, and when Paz came back she had to find a way to merge those lives into something new, something of her own choosing.
Since she knew how to do little other than fight, Paz became a fighter. Since she was more than human, she didn't tend to lose. She made a name for herself, and eventually her reputation got too far ahead of her and she had to put a stop to it before impossibilities came to light. When you're far stronger than any mortal is capable of, but you don't look like it, you have to be careful with what you do, after all.
Now Paz lends her name, her time, and her action to social causes. It has got her into no shortage of trouble, but trouble is where she feels most at home.
RP Hooks
- Changeling - Not a member of the Freehold yet, but she could be convinced.
- Sublime - At this point, Paz is pretty far from simply human. She looks like a walking, draconic sandstorm. It's faerie logic, don't ask.
- Summer - Happy to punch for the cause. It barely matters what cause.
- Retired MMA Fighter - Paz is retired, but for the five years or so that she was fighting she lost one fight: her first. There's a lot of speculation about why she quit, but she never answers.
- Social Justice - Do you have a cause? See above, regarding punching. If it doesn't require punching, she'll still do what she can.
