       History
A former professional ballerina with the Boston Ballet Company, Svetlana Dragunova came to Fort Burnsett for a life out of the spotlight. She bought and refurbished an old shop in town into a posh but cozy restaurant called the Winter Palace Restaurant, and now resides above the establishment with her sister Olenka.
In reality Svetlana is one of the Lost, a Fairest who escaped the Floriographer's realm. She was taken in St. Petersburg, Russia, and despite her apparent youth, Svetlana has been trapped in the Gentry's realm for a very long time. Although there is a certain aura of sorrow about her like any Winter Courtier, Svetlana tends to play against the stereotype and can be quite sociable and gracious.

       Description
Svetlana is a young woman who appears to be in her twenties, lithe of build, wiry of limbs with an ethereal quality about her. She stands a cool five-foot-seven, yet despite her apparent youth she has a quiet sense of confidence about her. Her long blonde hair is straight and flowing like a silken waterfall, with long loose bangs framing her fine-featured face; a button nose and glossed lips, cheeks that are just a bit rounded with baby fat yet to be shed - and in the center of it all are her most noticeable feature: her large gray eyes are so seemingly full of wonder and allure, one can almost see straight into her soul.
She is currently wearing a form-fitting burgundy-colored sweater that hugs her feminine curves, with a wide collar that leaves her graceful neck bare. A thin silver necklace circles her throat, with a ornate silver pendant hanging from the chain. On her hips and legs are a pair of snug black pants, tapering down to a pair of black knee-height leather boots. The boots' heels are fashionably high, adding a further three inches to her height. When outdoors, she wears a long black overcoat on top of her clothes, as well as a white scarf around her neck for warmth.

The Lost
Svetlana is one of the Lost, a Fairest of the Winter Court. She is also an Icebound Duchess, although it is not something that defines her.
Fame
Svetlana has some small measure of fame as a Russian ballerina who had a stint with the Boston Ballet Company. She was one of their star dancers for about 18 months and known to ballet fans.
Restaurant Owner
She owns the Winter Palace Restaurant, in Fort Burnsett. A classy, upscale but cozy restaurant, the Winter Palace is a relatively new establishment refurbished from an old shop, and is quickly becoming a favorite spot of local well-to-do residents as well as tourists. Svetlana is also the executive chef, which means she is only sometimes actually cooking.

  • Malachi - The first Lost I met when I arrived, I hired him right then as helper and security at restaurant. Like rest of us, he is trying to escape troubled past, and if I can help him find peace, I will.

Far away, long ago, Glowing dim as an ember,
Things my heart used to know, Things it yearns to remember.
And a song someone sings,
Once upon a December.
