“Readers will always insist on adventures, and though you can have grief without adventures, you cannot have adventures without grief.”
– Catherynne M. Valente
Overview
Alistair Griffin was not always thus. Once, he was a youth with ideals and a dream who went to war to fight the Germans. That was 1917. His name was Gavan DesRochers. Now, it is hard for him to say which he is now. Is the dream, Gavan? Is Alistair the dream? As his devotion to the ideal became the obsession of his existence, it has become harder for him to tell.
For those who have traveled in Europe, they will know the name Alistair Griffin to be a solo recording artist from France with a series of platinum hits and a base of swooning fans. Among the fae, his reputation is that of one who lifts despondent hearts and fights the good fight. His Keeper has sent a number of would be assassins his way only to have them slain in flamboyant fashion.

- Lancelot - Once a squire, now a lady knight. I could not be prouder.
- November - Queen of the Tourney. Fealty? Perhaps. Perhaps not. But always a good show!
