Overview
Once upon a time there was a young member of the Garreau family who thought he was the picture of the tormented musician archetype. The kind of teenager who thought they were destined for greatness but currently misunderstood. In other words, really not that unusual for a teenager, except perhaps taken to a bit more of an extreme. Quinn was the kind of troubled teenager who ran away from home more than once, but always came back when things ended up being tougher than expected.
Then, right after graduating from high school, Quincy ran off again. That time, instead of coming back when the going got tough, Quinn got kidnapped by faeries, taken to their magical faerie land, and was turned into music. Then she got won like a prize by a different faeries, who decided it would be amusing to see if they could teach music how to fight.
This, perhaps, is less typical of the average trouble teenager.
Now Quinn has escaped. Sort of. Some of what was done isn't the kind of thing that can be run away from. For instance, not all of the odd changes went away upon return to reality. Most people don't have to make an effort not to turn talking into music, and can't change their own appearance as readily as other people can change the channel on their radio to listen to a different song.
RP Hooks
- Lost - In some ways, even more so than most. Quinn only just escaped the Hedge, and though she knows the basics about what's going on the details are still kind of fuzzy and all if it is pretty unbelievable.
- Courtless - Intending to change this, Quinn has good reason to talk to different people about their courts and how those work out for them.
- Familiar Face - Quinn is from the area and might look vaguely familiar to some people. Like she might be the sister of some kid that used to busk around town some years back.
- Garreau - Quinn is a Garreau who ran away from home a couple of years ago, and not for the first time. More unexpected is that when she ran away, everyone knew her as a him.
