OT01 - Outer Tamarack - Mill Road - Foothills

As the road climbs up into the foothills, two lanes give way to something more like one and three quarters, which in turn eventually stops being paved, turning to a dirt and gravel track that winds its way up into the foothills, kept more or less smooth by grading from huge machines otherwise kept housed at the mill. This area sees significantly less traffic, save for an occasional car passing and leaving a cloud of dust behind, though the views up here can be quite spectacular, looking back down to the valley with the river a shining ribbon cutting through.

Mill Road continues up the mountainside, a solitary track over the sloping foothills. The occasional home, well-distant, has sprung up far from the noise of machinery traffic.
