AJ, Cobalt, Damion, Hannah, Paige, Thorn, Tini

29 March, 2017

The Summer Court gets together to spar.

Location

Stoneheart

There's another cooler for this Summer event, though it has less alcohol in it than it did for the meeting. Now it's mostly water. Not entirely, but mostly. Beating the crap out of your friends and allies works up a thirst! The rest of the place looks the same because hey, whoever set this place up set it up for fights! There are whole caverns set up for it, and Paige is hanging out outside of one of them. She's leaning against the wall, facing the entrance, with a bottle of water in her hand, half empty.

Cobalt? He likes to pre-game. Not water, though that would be smart. No, he comes into cavern clutching a bottle of whiskey. Just a fifth, you know. No biggie. He's armored and his sword is still strapped to his back, because he likes to walk around with that thing. Upon entering, spots Paige over by the one cavern, and stalks her way with a smirk on his face. Typical, really. "Paige." His bottle is 'clinked' with hers, though glass on plastic isn't gonna make much sound. "Bottoms up."

So many things to do. Tini picks the summer brawl to show up at early. In her usual gear for entering the hedge, even for a 'safe' jaunt into a hollow she has her hood up and her fitted vest on, pocket camo-pants tucked into boots complete the ensemble. She's not drinking yet though she does gravitate towards the refreshment with a sidelong look Cobalt's way and what one would assume is an upnod under that face hiding hood. A black ribbon trails from under her vest against her back making it almost look like she has a fluttering little tail.

Omar Thorn comes ambling on into the Summer cavern, walking at a rather casual pace. The ogre is in no hurry. Red eyes search about and find the growing gathering of his fellow courtiers and so he heads in that direction, nodding at Cobalt, "Cobalt." he greets in a low and flat rumble, arms lifting to cross comfortable over his broad chest. His gaze shifts to Paige and her offers her a nod as well. "Hello."

Paige eyes Cobalt's sword. "You're not planning on /using/ that, right? This is just hand to hand. Good old fist fights. Well, fists and kicking, if you really want to kick." She grins. "Which can be fun. And hi guys," she says when other people wander in, shifting her grin to them. "Just pick someone you wanna fight, and fight 'em. No weapons, and you stop when they call it quits or pass out. While the rest of us watch and cheer and stuff."

Hannah makes it in, dressed for the event of being called to the floor. She's unarmed of course, and looks over at Cobalt when Paige remarks on the sword. Nodding approvingly at the eensy ogre's words, she calls out affably, "Hey, you guys." She'll stick with water, thanks.

Cobalt rolls his very green eyes at Paige. "No, I'm not using the fuckin' thing. Doesn't mean I can't wear it. Jesus, I wasn't born yesterday." He drains the bottle and throws it against a wall, hard enough to make it shatter. 'Cause that's fun. Then he gives both Thorn and Tini upnods. "Evening." Hannah gets one, too, as Cobalt finally goes to remove his sword, leaning it carefully up against a chair. "If anyone touches that, I'll rip your eyeballs out through your throat."

"That doesn't make any sense. So to call it unlikely would be an overstatement. Why not put it in a safe deposit box if you're so protective of it?" Thorn eyes Cobalt and then looks over at Hannah as she arrives, nodding. "Hello. This court is full of tiny women, it seems. Which one wants to fight me? Fighting Cobalt now would be too anticlimactic?" he's not all ahead full with the arrogance just yet, looking between the short women slowly. It's hard to tell exactly where he's looking. Just vaguely at someone. "Let's fight anyway. No sense wasting time standing around." fighting with a shirt on is ridiculous, so Thorn takes it off and tosses it to the ground. He's very scarred. They're all over the place, long and short, deep and shallow. He takes a few minutes to stretch. It's important to be limbered up before planned physical activity!

AJ arrives, moving at a light jog. At least, until she takes the turn into the Summer cavern. No, no running into the room where others can see. No being a try hard! The redheaded fox is dressed in a hoodie, grey, with a little shield logo on the chest. Vermont State Troopers, if anyone gets close enough to read. Then her legs are, well, sorta covered. Baggy shorts, in a shiny red and black motiff, the exact type that a boxer (or kickboxer) would wear. Only they're pretty dang short. She does have some mid-thigh spandex shorts beneath, in black. Then shoes, because of course shoes. "No one wants to touch you or anything you own, Coby!" AJ calls, soon as she steps inside. She moves to carefully unload a backpack she's wear. Did that backpack just... squeak? Yip? What the hell? AJ then takes a look around, and eyes Tini for a moment.

Paige stares at the remains of the bottle, then back to Cobalt, arching a brow. "Was that really necessary? I expect blood'n stuff tonight, but there's no need for it to come from shards of a bottle because you wanted to throw it against the wall," she says, shaking her head before she looks to AJ, then perks. "Did you bring them? Are they in your backpack?" she calls, moving over toward the fox and forgetting, for the moment, about the glass shards.

Hannah laughs. "Though we be but little, we are fierce." Hannah puts forth, before snorting at Paige. "Grandstander's gonna grandstand."

"Yeah, you see lots of safe deposit boxes in here, Einstein? It's called fuckin' hyperbole." Cobalt appears to be keeping his armor on, as it's Hedgespun and not heavy at all. Quite flexible, in fact. So early in the night, and he's already been harassed by three people -- seems about normal. He just BELLOWS at AJ when she comes in, not even bothering to look at her as he paces around the cavern, fists on hips. "SHUT UUUUUUUUUUP." He hasn't volunteered himself for fighting yet, no. He's working up to it. Unless someone wants to pick a fight with him first. It would probably be easy. Cobalt tosses his head at Paige as he wanders back around that way. "GOD, you're bossy. I can do whatever the fuck I want. Who's gonna stop me?" Seems like a challenge. A brawly challenge, perhaps?

Tini pushes her hood back, "I'm down." Her hair's been pulled back in a braid to keep her curls from working against her. "Let's throw down. Just fisticuffs or an all out?" Tini doesn't take off any of her gear; she' brought nothing with her but herself after all. She pulls herself to her full four-nine and heads towards a spot out in the open away from other folks.

"No, I don't underestimate. I've fought AJ." Thorn looks over at the fox and lifts a hand to give her a brief wave. Everyone else got nods, she gets a wave. "She's fierce. I'm sure you are as well." Thorn looks at Hannah and then to a piece of empty cavern expectantly. But then Tini is getting right to it. The ogre flashes her a toothy and quick smile and then lumbers on over toward her open patch of ground. "All right. I'm Omar Thorn. Thorn is fine." another nod of greeting is offered now that he's introduced himself and is closer to the short woman. Lifting big fists, he balls them up and gets into a ready stance, prepared to start throwing punches. Presumably. He looks like a guy that punches things. He appears to be ignoring Cobalt's boisterous? response. Hyperbole. Hmmmm. He's got a fight right in front of him now, though and he looks at Tini, apparently waiting for her to advance on him.

Paige smirks at Hannah and nods. "Yeah. True." She looks at Cobalt then, and her head tilts. "This is our place. There's no reason to wreck it," she points out, voice nice and calm. She then turns her back on him, ignoring him to grin at Thorn. "Fight me in a bit? Since it sounds like she's got first dibs," she says, nodding to Tini.

Hannah starts clapping right away. "She's Tini! She's tiny! She'll kick you in your heiny! Go go Girouuuuux, go go Girouuuuux!" Gosh, isn't Hannah just the best cheerleader?

AJ leans over and dips her hands into her bag, she fiddles with something in there, and then she's quietly whispering... to her bag. She then straightens back up, and looks to Paige. "Yeah. Didn't know how long I would be. Didn't want to bring them across but... you know," she says, with a shrug. "If I end up in bad, bad shape... you'll take care of 'em?" she asks the blonde, with a smile. Then she looks over to Cobalt. "Seriously, you think that's how a Freehold works? How a court works? Or do you just need to be a dick every chance you can?" she asks. There's a roll of her eyes. Then she lifts a hand to Thorn and wiggles fingers. "Don't let him hug you," she finally adds, to Tini.

Cobalt lets out a big, overly dramatic sigh. "You're all a bunch of fuckin' idiots." Then he's stalking over to AJ, who's jumped on the bossy train. Looming over her, arms folded, he lets out a snort. "You gonna stand there and talk all day? Or do you wanna actually man up and fight me?" He spits on the ground, not /on/ her feet, but pretty close.

Paige looks back to AJ and smiles. "Of course, but I don't think you'll end up that bad." She steps closer, stage whispering, "I'd cuddle one, but seems wrong to do something so girly before getting in a fist fight, yanno?" she asks, grinning. A grin that fades at Cobalt. "Look, I like people, and I try to be nice, but you've been nothing but a dick everytime I've met you. This is our /home/. Why do you wanna fuck it up? And we're supposed to be your allies? Why do you want to alienate us? I mean, really, who likes this sort of attitude?"

Hannah starts clapping right away. "She's Tini! She's tiny! She'll kick you in your heiny! Go go Girouuuuux, go go Girouuuuux!" Gosh, isn't Hannah just the best cheerleader?

Why do you want to alienate us? I mean, really, who likes this sort of attitude?"

To say Tini is rusty in the old Hand to Hand is probably an understatement. Tini moves fast, really fast, and sometimes when you get really fast you get really unsteady and in this case, it is what happens. And she's not lucky enough to just whiff and get herself straight punched int he back of the head; no she runs face-first into Thorn which elicits a muffled curse.

Cobalt scowls mightily at AJ's comment about pills, but then he actually takes a minute to ask a question about the fight: "What, I can't fight in my armor? Why the hell not? Doesn't really slow me down." He's pacing in a sort of circle, looking back and forth at the two tiny women, but he comes to face Paige fully in the end. "You wanna know my problem with you? You act like you got some kinda fuckin' authority in this place. But you ain't got shit. I threw a bottle. That's hardly 'trashing our place.' I got just as much a right for me to let my anger out, in any way I see fit, so long as I'm not breaking any goddamn Pledges." None of this is said with his voice raised. He's continued to be calm, quiet, even rational, at least in tone.

Thorn doesn't need to move too much to avoid Tini's blow, but she's just so far down there away from him that he can't hit her. A big fist whiffs through the air her head just recently occupied but she doesn't get his knuckles implanted into her temple. The big man even grunts with the effort, perhaps trying to down Tini in one mighty swing. No luck this time around and Thorn doesn't swing so hard as to throw himself off balance. He's ready for her next attack, circling slowly, waiting for her for the most part. Counterattacking rather than making a full out assault, testing and judging, and patiently feeling her out. The conversation nearby is mostly unheard, focused as he is on the brawl before him.

Hannah is watching the fight with some amusement, though she's actually keeping an ear on the trouble brewing between Paige and Cobalt. "You both have valid points," she offers oh-so-helpfully. "You've been an asshole, and not even an impressive one." This to Cobalt, adding to Paige, "And I've seen Russian coaches who are less Bossy Bitch than you."

"Be...cause... this is a spar? A brawl? Not using a bunch of fucking magic?" AJ says to Cobalt, squinting at the man. "Does that not mean anything to you...?" She is, for now, going to focus on the matter at hand. Fighting.

Paige studies Cobalt for a moment before she just shakes her head and moves to step around him, heading toward Thorn and Tini to watch them fight. She ignores Hannah as well, just stopping and watching the pair, lips curving upward a touch.

"Ahhh, fuck you, skater betty," Cobalt snorts at Hannah with a head toss, but it's only so serious. Then he sighs, rolling his eyes at AJ. "Fine. Whatever." Off comes the armor. And with the armor, like Thorn, off comes the studded leather jacket, and the band shirt -- leaving his muscular chest and tattooed arms exposed. He sweeps his floating hair up into something like a floating ponytail, and once more spits on the ground. Paige wants to ignore him? Then he'll ignore Paige, though he does give her back a hateful stare.

Tini isn't listening to the other Summers bicker; she's busily attempting to figure out how to best whittle down this mountain she's pitted herself against. Another swing and a miss as the tiny woman shoots past Thorn and spins on her foot to try to avoid any swings that might be coming her way, relying on her small size and agility to attempt to avoid getting punched across the room.

"Can dish it out, but can't take it." Hannah observes, though it may not be clear who she's talking about. Though the appellation 'Skater Betty' seems to amuse her.

AJ gives one more look towards Paige, then over to Hannah. Finally back to Cobalt. When he complies, she smiles, and then she grabs the hem of her hoodie and pulls it up and over her head (and ears). Beneath, she's wearing a black and red sports bra. An actual functional one, meant to be fighting in. She takes one of her hair ties off her wrist, and tames the most of her hair, just as Cobalt does. "Okay!" she says, smiling brightly. She's excited! Shoes come off to reveal bare feet, and then she goes skipping - yes, skipping - over towards another ring. "C'mon, Coby. Finally get a chance to put hands on me!"

Cobalt is not smiling. Cobalt is glowering, as he stalks his way behind AJ towards the ring, and goes to his right corner. He goes back to pacing for a moment, around and around, back and forth, something it seems it's hard for him to stop in certain moments. Like this one, when he is staring down AJ, claws at ready, fangs exposed. A low growl starts up in his throat as he locks eyes on her.

Paige doesn't seem to notice the stare from Cobalt, focused as she is on the fighting. She doesn't respond to Hannah's added barb either, but she does glance over to the skipping AJ and grins. "Remember I want a fight later, AJ," she calls before looking back to Thorn and Tini. "Nice focus," she says, more to herself than those fighting. They probably don't hear anyway.

The ogre pivots as Tini takes a swing and then throws a punch in her direction, connecting with a massgive fist and socking her with a moderate amount of oomph behind the blow. He's not interested in gloating about the hit, he's interested in how Tini reacts to being punched by a much larger and stronger person. The punching isn't always the hard part. Sometimes taking the punch is more important. And so he's eager to see what she does.

"Promise not to let Cobalt wear me out," AJ says, shooting a grin over to Paige. She's in that ring, and she takes just a moment to stretch out. Legs spread wide, lean this way, lean that way. She stretches her arms. Limbered up, she turns back to Cobalt, then steps forward, more towards center. She makes a little motion. "You first, horny," she says, with a big smile.

It's a solid enough hit and it moves the petite framed mousey-lost a few inches. What she does is bark a laugh of appreciation for the tag before turning and again trying to launch an attack at the ogre. It's a kick this time but more than much, considering this is a for fun fight? Tini is having fun!

She laughed? That's good. Thorn joins her, letting out a bark of a chuckle once she turns to get right back into it. This time, the dreaded hug. Tini sends a kick his way and instead of trying to deflect it or slap her leg away, he slips to one side more quickly than he should be able to move and wraps her up. Thorn gets her from the front, lifting her up into his arms. It's not a hug, really. He has her gripped firmly in his arms and ducks his head down toward her shoulder to avoid any retaliatory headbutts and protect his face. His hips are also turned slightly to avoid any easy kicks or knees to the groin, which would really hurt. "Uh oh." he growls, low enough that only Tini can hear him.

"What am I?" Hannah asks AJ expansively, holding her arms out wide. "Chopped liver?"

Apparently, funtime is over for Cobalt, who suddenly dashes for AJ with a startling cry. One clawed fist is already coming straight for her face. But she's small, so it might not be so hard to avoid him. His face is a mask of cold rage in this moment. Does it have anything to do with her at all, or is it just part of his fighting style?

Luckily for Thorn it seems that Tini was okay with the hug. Or at least that has to be why instead of connecting she slides in close and nearly faceplants into him -again.- And then it happens, the phorphecied 'hug'. ONe might think a hug from something so warm might set a desert mouse at ease but no, she yelps and starts wiggling in attempts to squirm free of the struggle snuggle. "Frak!" She's laughing, well, okay she's wheezing because the cince on her tiny frame is fairly solid and her legs are rabbiting in an attempt to free herself one last time before tapping out.

"Oops," Paige says when Tini gets snagged by the much bigger Thorn. "C'mon! Wiggle free! Don't let the big guy get you!" she calls out encouragingly, but she's also grinning. She's a Summer, it'd be weird if she didn't appreciate a good sparring match, right? She does move away though, long enough to grab a bottle of water and crack it open, taking a drink.

Once he has a hold of her, Thorn focuses on keeping her from breaking free. Which he does, but just barely. She's wriggly and small but the ogre holds on tight. A little too tight. Head still tucked in, he can't see who might be nearby but that's likely not necessary. He's mostly still as he gives her a powerful squeeze. Not enough to break anything or truly hurt Tini, but enough to make it impossibly to breathe fo a few seconds and cause some pain. "Give up?" he asks her in that low growl of his, meant only for her. "I don't think you'll get out." he's not bragging so much as stating what he considers to be fact. That's it.

Oof! There goes what little was left in her lungs. Tini's legs kick a few more times before they go still and the little Summer bobs her head up an down rappidly while squeaking out a wheezed, "Uncle!" She agrees, it appears, that she has very little chance of getting out of Thorn's sure grip.

Cobalt charges so easily, and AJ is smiling all the while. She is fast, surely! Look how fast! She ducks out of the way, but she's not quite fast enough. As Cobalt gets in close, AJ is all legs and elbows and fists, and surely she gets a shot or two on the man before she pulls away, giving a little hiss. "Coby!" she exclaims!

Hannah starts idly checking her nails. And when Tini calls uncle, she claps approvingly at the match.

Cobalt, being a big guy, takes AJ's quick little blows with a grunt, but they're not enough for him to back away. Oh no. As soon as AJ's gone from his grasp, he lunges in again, this time trying to get an uppercut to her jaw. His glowing green eyes are savage, and spittle flies from his fangs. At least he's not using them, right?

As soon as Tini yields, he sets her down lightly and releases his crushing hold on her. Once she's down on her feet, he sets a big hand on her shoulder and nods. "Thanks for the fight, Tini." he gives her a much less devastating squeeze on the shoulder and then lets her go. "You're fast. Very fast. Being small isn't always a disadvantage. Harder to hit, harder to grab. I just happened to grab you this time. Keep training." he smiles briefly at Tini and nods encouragingly. "If you do want to keep training, I can help you if you'd like. Using boxing or gym equipment is good, but the best way to learn to fight more effectively is to fight." he saves his aggression for the fight itself but once it's done, he doesn't let it take over.

AJ tries to keep moving, but Cobalt is definitely, definitely fast. And strong. And that blow comes right at her face. Surely not the knock out that Cobalt might have wanted, but even a glancing blow to the face is a big one. AJ takes a half step back, then pivots and fires out a kick, right at Cobalt's side. Which probably counts as a high kick, for AJ!

"That was good, damn good," Paige tells Thorn and Tini when their fight is over and she grins. She heads over to the cooler, grabbing two bottles of water, moving toward them to offer each one. "Was kind of a David and Goliath thing. Was cool to watch," she offers them.

Long rounded ears twitch as Tini's set down and she takes a few steps away, one arm lifting to favor her bruised ribs. Looking up and sidelong at Thorn she laughs, "Yeah don't thank me yet. You wait til I get some more practice in me and we'll see if I can't catch you soem payback." She throws aplayful smack at his chest, which because of her relative size lands more in his gut. "You know I will, you got a number? That aside, catch me in a spear fight sometime, we'll see if I can't keep up." Tini remains cheerful as she finally gets to see the other Summers in action and whistles and hollars for AJ. Small girls unite!

Hannah is apparently content to sit and watch at the sidelines. Well, not really. "Alright." she says, rising to her feet. "Who wants some?" She looks around to see if there are any takers.

Cobalt hollers as AJ's foot connects to his side -- or roars, really, sounding quite a bit like a big cat. A panther, maybe, or a lion. This time, he goes to flat-out lunge at AJ, using the full force of his body -- with the intention of knocking her over.

Thorn accepts the water from Paige with a nod of thanks and takes just a little sip before setting the bottle down. "That will give me a chance to use my sword. It's about as tall as I am." that might not be a comforting thought. "Though, I haven't made it yet so you have some time." the man reaches into his pocket and scribbles down his phone number, handing it over to Tini. "I'll fight again." he turns to look at Hannah then at page, asking, "Unless you want to?"

"Just said as much." says Hannah with easy cheer. "Time to get my ass kicked." She moves into a defensive position and waits patiently for Thorn.

AJ sees that look in the man's eyes, and sees the charge, and her eyes light up. The last thing Cobalt will see before a flash of red hair and a tail is AJ's grin. She shoots low, fires a foot out at his, then rolls to the side and pops back up. Easily enough to send the man hurdling into the floor ... without her under him.

Paige grins at Thorn. "I'm not going anywhere. I can take third spot. If you're up for a third fight," she teases, moving away to find a chair to perch on. Literally. She perches on the arm of one of the chairs, crouched down, all birdlike, the weirdo.

Tini takes the paper and tucks it into one of the vest pockets. Speaking of which Tini is headed to grab a water and adjusts her vest. Sometime during the struggle her tail came untied and the little kangaroo appendage with it's tufted end pokes out the back of the softleather armoring. She moves to a wall and doesn't volunteer to fight right away. instead giving herself a couple moments to recover. "I look forward to it, Thorn." She salutes Hannah with the bottle of water. "Good luck!"

WHAM! That's the sound of all 250+ pounds of Cobalt, tumbling to the floor. Still growling low -- he hasn't really stopped during this bout, just growls more or less depending on where he's at, like he's forgotten what words are for -- he swipes his hair out of his eyes as it's all tumbled out of its ponytail, flying freely around him. Eyes locked on his prey, he begins his slow ascent back to his feet.

Thorn nods at Paige and moves on over to where Hannah waits for him in her defensive pose. Giving a sniff to clear his nose, he turns slightly and lifts his fists in a pretty standard boxing pose, ready to start throwing punches. Might start trying to grab at the figure skater at some point, but he looks ready to start swinging. "I'm ready when you are." he adds with a nod, waiting to see if she'll go right for him or wait for him to go to her.

There's squeak of delight as Cobalt hits the floor. AJ jumps forward, seeming like she's ready for an easy strike, but he's already getting back up. So she just throws about kick, obviously preferring to trust her legs than risk getting too close with fists! Pow, another shot, right to the side!

Looks like Thorn doesn't have to wait long. As soon as they seem to have a mutual agreement for the fight to begin, Hannah takes a few quick steps and sweeps out a kick that looks something like a dancer's illusion maneuver than a combative one. And yet, however lightly, it connects.

"C'mon! Kick some ass!" Paige calls out as she looks between the two fights, and it's hard to tell just who she's cheering for, or if she's cheering for everyone. She swalows another gulp of water before she grins, looking like she's at a tennis match, the way her gaze keeps bouncing back and forth.

This time, though, Cobalt actually breaks into a grin. It's a terrible sight, because his mouth has two huge sets of fangs and his eyes glow even brighter as he sees this opportunity. AJ's foot is captured in his clawed hands, keeping her there next to him, leg raised and extended. But there's no teasing, taunting, or playful banter from Cobalt. Not right now.

Batini smiles watching the group of Summers with large dark eyes, eyes drifting between all the combatants as she guzzles down most of the bottle of water, saving about a third and tucking it, as if by habit, into one of her pants pockets for later. She whistles, it's a trilling unusual sound more than asharp straight one followed by a cheer for AJ and of course Hannah. She leans in the direction of the perched blonde and asks Paige, "Whatd'ya think?"

Well, AJ clearly wasn't expecting that! Kicks are supposed to hurt! You're not supposed to ignore the pain then hold on to that foot. Her eyes go wide!

Paige grins at Tini, but keeps watching the fights. "A good bit of skill here, and a chunk of anger, too. Both are good things. I'm glad we're getting a couple of fights, too. We'll work better together if we do this, and watch, learn how each other fights. Like Thorn? We know he's good at getting a hold of people. You? You're quick, agile. Cobalt charges right on in. And AJ? She's like you. We learn those strengths, we can put 'em to use if Summer ever needs to fight an enemy. Or when, I should say. It's generally always when."

The kick lands probably somewhere along his leg, slapping with a thud into his pants. It hurts a bit. Skaters probably have strong legs and however balanced she might be on one foot, he's able to send a massive fist right at her face. Thorn isn't pulling his punches. This is a Summer brawl! The big mitt pounds her and he slides back to get into position to strike her again, waiting to see how she'll come at him next. Once again, the rest of the room quiets to a dull murmur as he focuses entirely on Hannah and the fight before him.

AJ is fast, and well-trained, and smart. But she just isn't as strong as Cobalt. And he's banking on that. That terrible grin grows wider on his face as he twists the captured leg back...and back some more...until there's a small -snap-! He didn't break it, but he definitely sprained it. Her knee, or her ankle. "You give up?" Finally, words.

Hannah staggers back from the blow, blinking rapidly. He got her in the nose, and only her own momentum keeps it from having broken. But it does make her eyes water as she dances back out of range, and lashes out a kick that misses wildly. She's not thrown off balance, but there's a good three inches of space between the business end of her foot and Thorn's body.

"Aiee!" AJ lets out a sharp yelp as Cobalt twists her ankle. Sprained, maybe! Cobalt would surely feel she's tougher than she looks. But that it hurt, oh, that's without a doubt. "I give!" she cries. "Let goooo!" she says, as she hops around awkwardly on one foot, in pain.

Tini nods as she considers the group at large. "Well so long as there's more of the former, channel all that energy." She grins a bit and finally settles herself into a natural crouch and reaches up to pull her hood back up half over her hair. "How about you? You prefer speed over power?" Once she's settled she rests her hands over her knees and takes time to observe all four of the fighters carefully her chin wincing in symapthy pain for AJ.

Seeking to put Hannah down in one punch, Thorn gets a little over eager and manages only a glancing blow. There's a rumble of annoyance there, a sudden bubbling of anger making its way to the surface as he doesn't get done what he wants to get done. Rather than lose his cool, he tries to harness it and wrangle it to his favor as he waits for his next opening. The man is a patient fighter. He's older than most of the other Summers, at least in years in the mortal world, and likely has developed that patience over the decades. Still, he barely hit her and he's annoyed.

Cobalt smirks, head raised high as he stares down at AJ. He's clearly enjoying this...a little too much. But even he knows when to let go...eventually, after he's relished her pain for a few more moments. And once she's collected herself, even Cobalt is enough of a gentleman brawler (which is to say: just barely) to extend a hand to her. "Good fight, foxbutt."

Paige grins. "We're Summers. If we didn't channel our anger into violence, we'd explode. Or someone else would." She's still perched on the arm of the chair watching, though she does glance to Tini. "I like both. Speed helps keep you from getting hit, and lets you land more blows, but power makes the blows count. So they've both got their place. And it depends on the opponent, too."

AJ's foot finds the mat again, and then she winces. "Oooo... ow! Fuck..." she says. Any look of sorrow at defeat, or some smug sort of defiance, is wiped away as she suffers. It's pain on her face. AJ steps closer to Cobalt, and reaches out for his arm. "I think you broke it," she says, and then hisses out the pain. He didn't. She's a liar. Not that everyone would ever know, for how good this act is! "Help me back to the chairs," she whimpers at the big man, and leans into him, and starts to hobble her way back. "Yeah, good fight," she agrees, earnestly.

Almost as soon as Hannah lashes out at him with another kick, Thorn is counterattacking and swinging a big fist at toward her face again. Keep her nose hurting, keep her eyes watering, keep her off balance. Harder to fight if you can't breath through your nose as much. He's expecting another kick from the skater and so he has his strike ready. Once he's popped her again, he resumes circling her, still light on his feet, waiting to see if she'll kick again or try to take a swing at him.

Tini nods. "I'm used to working in groups. Prefer it really, even if there's a little sibling rivalry. I'm also better in a not so fair fight." She's crouched near Paige, ehr hood up and hiding her face, though her tail dangles brushing the floor her other features are hidden; gloves, leather vest and amry-drab pants tucked into boots. A pouch rests on her hip. She leans interestedly foreward as Hannah and Thorn continue fighting. Aj's afforded a glance but a Mouse knows a Fox. She doesn't approach to check on AJ's foot.

Ouch! Another glance across her nose with a really big fist! Hannah shakes her head and squints, but this time, she doesn't come swinging in with a leg or an arm; she too is light on her feet, and she uses her natural grace to avoid his assault and take time to recover.

Even if Cobalt did break AJ's leg, or thinks he broke her leg...there is zero remorse on his face. "Did I?" he asks incredulously, though he does offer her his arm. "Poor baby. Well, I don't fuck around, not even when I brawl. You had to go and learn that the hard way." Smirks aside, he's still mostly humorless, as he's been for the last few hours. Like some wind went out of his sails awhile ago. Regardless, he's still helping AJ over to the chairs.

"Groups are good. More people, more support, and certainly backup," Paige says, but she watches AJ now with a concerned look on her face. "You need to sit and cuddle the foxes?" she calls out to the other woman before looking over to the ongoing fight.

A very late comer slips into the Hollow, observing the brawling going on between the various Summers. Damion observes the combat for a time, then approaches where they're gathered to take a spot near the back of the crows. He's just wearing jeans and a T, but he does have his sword and revolver on. This is the Hedge after all.

No kick incoming and so Thorn steps forward and tries to be quicker than Hannah. It works, though she manages to make it a glancing blow. He hasn't tried to grab her yet, which is probably why this fight is lasting longer than his bout with Tini. Seems he wants to switch it up a little and keep it to a straight fight with his overwhelming strength and size against her grace and agility. So far, it's slow going but he's landed more hits than he's taken. That's probably enough to be considered winning at this point in the match. Still, the ogre presses on, determined and focused. It might not come down to one powerful knockout blow and so he settles in for a slog.

"I am a poor baby," AJ says, but gives a little laugh with it. A laugh, then a wince, as she tests her foot again. "Problem is you are just apparently a pile of muscle," she grumps. She continues her limp-hop, leaning against Cobalt, until she draws out of the ring and to the chairs. She offers a pained sort of smile to Paige. "Bring me a bottle of water?" she asks. Then when Cobalt gets her close enough, she sits right down. "Thanks, Coby," she says, with a faint smile up to the man. Then she turns and grabs her backpack and hauls it into her lap. She peers inside. "You okay babies?" she asks. There's an odd whining noise coming from that backpack.

Thorn may very well win, but damned if Hannah won't make him work for it. She launches a punch, but it misses solidly; the only saving grace is that she seems to have an uncanny ability to maintain her balance despite throwing what force she has into her attacks. "Ugh," she says goodnaturedly, as if to acknowledge how much effort has had to go into this fight. She's not losing any breath, though.

Paige glances over to Damion when he wanders in, lifting a hand in hello before she slips off the chair and grabs another bottle of water, bringing it over to AJ and sitting it down beside her. And okay, so she leans in to peek inside the backpack. "Hi babies!" she whispers to them.

No one's here to bring Cobalt a bottle of water. Speaking of poor babies. What he needs is a drink, anyhow. His eyes trace Damion's form as he enters, lip curling back into a smirk, but AJ has his attention at the moment. Such as it is. He doesn't smile back at her, just grunts at her backpack. "What the fuck is in there?"

Thorn keeps picking away at Hannah. It's not a particularly exciting contest, perhaps, just a straight up brawl. Both of them going back and forth with kicks and punches, her mostly missing, him mostly hitting but not putting her down very quickly at all. Slog. But the ogre maintains his feet, seems to have the stamina to survive the fight, looks determined to see it through and eventually beat Hannah down. That's the plan, at least. Or maybe he should just scoop her up and crush her out of the fight.

Damion raises a hand back to Paige, brows quirking as he watches her and AJ start talking to the backpack. He wanders closer to them. The look from Cobalt gets 'What?' sort of look, only slightly challenging. Then the big album cover subtly inquires about the contents of the pack so he listens to see what the answer is.

AJ flashes a smile to Paige, when she's back with the water. "Thank you, sweets," she says. Then she finally leans down, and puts the backpack on the floor. She pauses, to glance Damion. "Hey, sup," AJ says, with a little smile. Then back to the backpack! She dips in all the way, then comes back up. In either hand is a little fox pup, can't be more than a month or two old. They're still brown! Haven't gotten their red-orange coloring. "My darling dearests, of course," AJ says, to Cobalt. She holds out one fox - the sleeping on - to Paige.

Cobalt holds out one big hand to AJ. "Lemme see." Meaning, put a small foxlette in his hand. Will AJ comply? He's probably not betting on it. But he remains there, one hand out, waiting.

"Awww, they're still so cute. But I can't hold him! I can't fight while holding a fox!" Paige pauses a beat. "Well, I could, but I'd probably suck since I would be trying to keep him from getting hurt more than focusing on the fighting, you know?" she says, but she does reach out to pet the little furball. "There ya go. Cobalt can hold him," she says, grinning as she straightens and looks back to Thorn and Hannah.

Damion leans over to see what AJ is holding. He glances between them and the fox fae, rubbing at his chin. "And here I thought Lost couldn't get pregnant." When Cobalt requests a fox to hold himself, he eyes the Ogre. "You know you can't eat it, right Cobalt?" It's hard to say if he's joking or not.

Tini remains leaned nearby the spectator area though she is moving curiously over towards the cooler still crouched. She seems comfortable walking in such a position and pops the cooler open to see what's to drink inside. Curious dark eyes linger on the pups and the group by them but the mouse holds off on fawning over the kits instead turning her eyes back to the fight between Thorn and Hannah.

Hannah lets out a snarl as she lashes out another kick, and once more she misses. He's just too sturdy, and almost as agile as she is. And when she misses yet again, she is apparently tired enough to kift a hand. "Uncle." she says, panting. "You scored more hits, I'd call you the winner."

AJ looks aside, at Damion, then starts to giggle. "Right?" she offers up. Then she looks to Paige, and holds her smile. "Okay, babe, go fight good," she says. Finally, she looks back to Cobalt, and offers up the little sleeping fox kit to the big horny demon. "Just like holding a kitten. Which is to say, ya know, just don't drop..." She eyes the fox. "Her," she says.

"I won't." Cobalt easily scoops up the wee sleeping fox in one big hand, holding it up on his palm like it's a cupcake he's about to devour. But instead, he just watches it for awhile, a sleepy, feline look on his face. "I guess you were almost cute, once," is said with a smirk to AJ, before he reaches out a claw on his free hand to scritch the top of the little kit's head.

Damion just winks at AK, then reaches out with an oversized, red scaled black nailed hand to lightly scritch the tiny foxling behind an ear. "Thankfully I don't think I'll ever be a parent." He glances at the fights going on. "Looks like you all are having fun. I meant to come, but some stuff came up at the gym." He shrugs. "Wouldn't really be fair to join in now, with you all already beat to shit and all."

Paige grins at AJ and does take a moment to watch Cobalt pick up the fox before she wanders toward Thorn. "Hey big guy, you got another fight in you?" she calls as she closes the distance, grinning.

Tini pushes to her feet after pilfering another drink and checks her watch. She throws a wave the direction of the group at large before dissapearing through the cover of the entrance and off into the Hollow.

"I am cute now," AJ declares, to Cobalt. For all she fights with the man, there's no sign of distrust there, with him holding her furbaby. She then smiles up at Damion. "This is about the closest I'll ever get. Or, uh, you know. Would ever want to get. The idea of getting pregnant is super yucky," she tells him. Her gaze shifts back to Cobalt. "Momma was a friend of mine. She got hit by a car, so I tracked back to her den and found these two. Poor itsy bitsy orphans," she says, with a faint frown. Then a shrug. "Don't get hit by cars," she decides. "You should fight-... What's your name?" She says, to Cobalt, but then turns to look at Damion.

Cobalt unceremoniously dumps AJ's furbaby back in her lap. Folding his arms across his chest, he stares sullenly at Damion, but doesn't offer the other man's name for him. Incidentally, he's sitting here without a shirt, covered in sweat, tattoos on display. Because, brawling and stuff.

Damion lets out a low chuckle. "You sure are, girlie. And no... you really don't want to have a kid as a Lost. I hear it's pretty nasty. And doens't end well for anybody." He shrugs a shoulder. "The name is Damion King." Only a name she would know if she followed boxing. More than five years ago. Then he returns the sullen look from Cobalt with a stare of his own. "What?" Then aside to AJ, "He looks worn out to me. I don't think he's got anything in him."

Thorn prepares to strike Hannah again but she lifts a hand and he nods at her, staying his blow. Though he gives her a rough clap on her upper arm, a show of camaraderie and respect from the old ogre, "Well fought. Same deal for you." he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a scrap of paper to scribble down his number, "Any time you want to fight and train, just call." it'd be easier to get cards, but the scrap of paper works! Once the fight is done, he seems a little more tired and he wanders over to get his water bottle, taking a long pull from it. There's some commotion over some small animals, but he steers clear for now. Instead, he remains where he is, recuperating over by Hannah unless she gets swept up in baby fox mania.

Hannah does look a bit wistfully at the fox kits, but she also doesn't seem inclined to crowd them. So she helps herself to some water and sits nearby where she can enjoy watching them.

Cobalt stands up, and now he's staring down at Damion with his arms folded. "Hardly." He probably loves being talked about like he isn't standing right here. He cracks all the knuckles on his right hand without using his left hand for leverage.

"Uh, more disgusted by the semen getting put inside me. Not to mention the semen delivery device," AJ explains, to Damion, with a sweet smile. She then blinks. "Damion King...?" she asks. AJ happens to be a trained kickboxer! She's in kickboxing shorts, and an actual sports bra one would fight in. Might give it away. So yes, she knows (regular) boxing. Of course, she can't say for sure it is him or not. Then she looks to Cobalt, and gives a laugh. "No, he always looks like that," she explains, to Damion.

Paige grins at Thorn as she watches him for a moment. "You and me, we're gonna go a round soon, okay?" she tells him before looking back to AJ, shaking her head a little at the fox's first comment, though her lips twitch. "Actually, what do you guys say we do this like, once a month? Keep ourselves sharp and all that?"

Damion smirks at Cobalt. "Oh yeah? Maybe we could trade a few punches then." He slips off the massive sword on his backa nd sets it aside, then peels of his tee and tosses it on the ground too. A few rolls of his shoulders and he nods to AJ. "Yeah. I used to box some." Then he motions towards the ring, or wherever it is Cobalt might want to throw fists. "After you."

"Fuck you, fox breath," Cobalt throws out to AJ, before stomping his way back into the ring. The battle of two big, aggressive shirtless dudes, one with a rather large chip on his shoulder. He grabs a bottle of water along the way, guzzling most of it before spraying himself with the rest. Then he tosses it away, probably just to annoy Paige.

"Caaaan I get an autograph after your fight?" AJ asks Damion, with a big, bigh smile. She's shameless, truly. She then lifts up on the fox pup, still asleep, and sets it right on the top of her head, between her ears. It can sleep there. She takes the other one up, and kisses it's nose. It tries to bite her face. You know, in that uncoordinated sort of way. "You know, you two are, like, objectively, so very sexy. Wish there was some Springs here to lust after you," she says, with a bright smile.

Paige doesn't seem annoyed by the bottle being tossed away. Maybe because it's not glass? Or maybe she got cheered by the fighting. Who knows. "I gotta get home, close the bar up, but I'll see you later, AJ? Hell, anyone, for that matter. More sparring!" she says, entirely too cheerfully for someone talking about punching people.

Slipping into the ring, Damion bounces a few times on his feet, raising his fists and getting comfortable. "Really don't get in the ring often enough these days. This should be fun." He glances over at AJ when she talks and smirks. "Thanks. Sorry I'm not your type." Then he focuses on Cobalt, drawing in closer to the taller fighter. "Lets see what you got going for you. I'll let you have first punch."

He adds, "And sure. When we're done."
