Byron asks Kerrigan to invite her brother for a chat. And it happens.

Location

Nightingale Mortuary

It's about six in the evening when Kerrigan had called Oberon to see if he'd mind stopping by Nightingale, she needed to talk to him privately and there was mention of Byron being there as well. She's dressed in jeans, boots and a black t-shirt this evening. Alocer is asleep under one of the tables near the back that has flowers set up across it. Kerrigan is seated on the piano bench that's not too far from the front row of chairs and she's waiting there with Byron. Her white eyes glowing as she listens to the Captain of the Harvestmen.

Byron at least has made a point to NOT be armed for this chat. After all, not necessary to send the wrong message, after all. Instead the huge block of carved obsidian folds his arms and just stands around close by Kerrigan's perch. He hasn't really explained much to her, just that he needs to talk to Oberon and it would be better if she stuck around both as his sister and as a Harvestman, with just the warning that, "This probably is not going to be a HAPPY talk...." Oh, nice forboding there...

Oberon comes inside his baby sister's working place and glances around. The Fairest is using simple jeans, sneakers and a white t-shirt underneath a beige cardigan. One of his hands his holding a violin case. The man looks a bit tired and a bit unhealthy."Kerr. Are you there?" He just before spotting his sister and her boss. Upon seeing the other Desrochers, he smiles faintly. But it soon fades away as he spots the chief of the Harvestmen. Then, he looks back at his siter with sad eyes. No greetings are offered. The Fairest just comes close enough to hear whatever is coming.

Kerrigan gives a look to Byron and there's a bit of a nod to him, "I didn't figure it was when you called." she admits. "But that's life sometimes." she adds. When she hears Oberon's voice there's a bit of a smile, "In the showing room." she calls out to him. When he enters there's a smile to him, "Come on in and sit. I'm not sure what's going on, but Byron needs to speak with you, Obe." she tells him.

Byron mmms softly and nods at Kerrigan, waiting until Oberon comes in and makes his presence know. He unfolds his arms and nods slowly in acknowledgement. Softly he offers, "Good evening. Thank you for coming." He pauses there for a moment, then takes in a slow breath before offering, "This is about the mortal Haruki. I'm going to assume this isn't a huge surprise?"

Oberon tenses slightly and shakes his head looking."What do you want to know about him?" He asks.

Kerrigan gives a look from Byron to Oberon and there's a bit of a quirked eyebrow when Haruki is mentioned. She'd heard they'd broken up, but not much else. She doesn't interrupt the conversation though, she just keeps attentive to both of the others in the room.

Byron rumbles softly and shakes his head. He slowly folds his arms across his chest again, those stubby little wings fluttering for a moment before settling back down, "I dont need to know anything more about the mortal. I'm here because of you. I understand it had been made clear to you that you've caused a problem in public with this mortal, speaking of Lost and the Freehold where the public can hear you, and there was an agreement you two were no longer an issue and should not be having contact? Do I have any of that wrong?"

Oberon shakes his head and starts writing a message. When he's done, he shows both of the his message. It says:"There is nothing in my pledge to keep me away from Haruki. Sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about."

Kerrigan's dark eyebrow is quirked all the way up, "I'm guessing Haruki was told about Changelings?" she asks the two of them.

Byron mms and nods slightly at Kerrigan, "Haruki's knowledge is another issue now that the Crown is apparently handling separately." Then to Oberon, he nods slowly, "I was not aware of the extent of the pledge. This is a courtesy visit, because word has gotten back to my ears by more than one channel, that you have continued creating scenes in public with this mortal. I need this to stop. If he does not wish to meet you somewhere private, perhaps it is time to consider new company?"

Oberon shrugs. Then, the Fairest rips off the first page and starts writting in a new one. When he's done, he turns the notepad so the other two Lost can read his message. It says:"All I want is peace. I'm REALLY (a circle is made around this word) tired of everyone blaming me, casting me away and ripping me away from my previous duties. I don't even have a proper place to sleep now. Ian offered me a place, but I'm too ashamed to accept it."

Kerrigan looks to Byron when he speaks and then to Oberon and when he writes down his message and holds it up. "I've not turned you away or anything else. If you need a place to stay your family always has a place, Oberon." she tells him. "But did you tell Haruki about us?" she asks. "If so, then it is you that would be to blame. I take no pleasure in saying that. So if someone else told him, then I suspect we'd be speaking to them as well." she states.

Byron shakes his head slowly, "I didn't do any of those things to you. My concern is the safety of this freehold. Something you've put in danger with your previous actions. What concerns me is that you seem to not keep yourself in a rational state when you are around this mortal, and when one is not rational, they do not always remember the rules, especially ones they broke before when they were also not rational. Do you see why I am involved now? I want to hear from you that you will be leaving this mortal alone in public. If you two wish to meet, do so in private. Can you stick to that, or not? Because the crown is going to ask me eventually if you are a Problem. I would like to say you aren't. I have bigger issues I need to handle."

Oberon becomes even more sad looking when his sister talks and when she stops, he shakes his head and points to himself. He rips the written page off and starts writing down while multitasking to listen to Byron. When the Chief Harvestmen stops taling, the Fairest gestures a number one and rips down a piece of paper and offers it to one of them. The message says:"There is no point in hidding it from my own blood. I told him a few things about the Freehold to convince him he would be safer with us. He's a Fae-touched. My move backfired me and he freaked out and we had a major fight. He was after Paige to talk to her. This is when all shit begun. It was my fault. I shouldn't had trusted him. But he loved me. I though I could trust him. This is why I'm so ashamed and avoiding everyone. Even family. It was my fault. Sorry, sister. I'm a place I don't want anyone else to be. The Freehold was my reason to exist. I had nothing else. I have no life to go back to. Now I have absolutelly nothing" While they read, he writes another message. When the two Lost looks to be done with the message, the Spring courtier gestures a number 2 and gives them another message. It says:"That human just caused me a lot of pain. I don't want to see him ever again."

Kerrigan reads the page after it's handed to her and there's a frown, "There's no reason to be ashamed and hide from the family. Just own your shit. Everyone makes mistakes. We learn from them." she tells him. "I get what you were doing...now let it go. You do your thing and he'll do his. If you see him somewhere, go the other way." she states. "It's not easy, I understand that. But...you'll be fine." she adds a bit of a smile to that.

Byron glances at Kerrigan for a moment, then looks back at Oberon, "Considering I just spoke with Her Highness a few days ago and he KNEW I was going to hunt you down...if you were kicked out of the Freehold, or if they were planning to do so, I would know it. Those of us that are still human will forgive...if you spend time showing you've improved. I can't speak for the Waylady's forgiveness, but she's not an unreasonable bitch. Most of the time." He didn't even crack a smile at that one. Instead, he looks back at Kerrigan and murmurs, "The agreement is all I needed. If you want to speak to him longer, alone, I can return home, with thanks."

Oberon just nods to both of them to asure them he's listening and paying attention. The Fairest is still in his sad mood and remains quiet as they talk to each other.

"If you'd been kicked out of the Freehold they would have told you that you were, bub. Don't worry on that part. We're just making sure things are gonna change." she tells him. Then there's a look to Byron and a smile as she reaches out to give the larger man a pat, "I think I'll take him upstairs and feed him. Let him sleep. Seems like he needs family right now. Thank you though, for telling me and doing your job." she states.

Byron offers Kerrigan a low bow of his head, "I will see you soon on the next trip out, then. Goodnight, and thank you." With that said, he straightens up and shoots a look over at Oberon, "Hopefully the next time you and I meet, it is a much better occassion. Good luck, Oberon." And assuming no interruption, will turn to stalk his way out and back to the street, to make his way home.

Oberon nods to Byron and watches the Chief Harvestmen to go away. When he's gone, he turns to see his sister. He quickly writes something down and shows it to her. The message is short and blurred with by a tear or two. It says:"Sorry."

Kerrigan accepts the piece of paper from her brother and she shakes her head, "Nothing to be sorry about." she tells him quietly. When Byron has gone she steps over to her brother and she wraps her arms around him. Just hugging him for a moment, "You aren't a failure or anything of the sort. You made a mistake. It happens. Just be careful." she tells him quietly. Then she pulls back to look at him, "Okay?" she asks.

Announcement: Flatirons shouts, "Court is starting in 10 minutes! Use +travel H06 to get to stone heart, then enter the broken hearth! If you have news or a poker hand to present, now is your LAST CHANCE!"

Oberon accepts the hug and lets his tears to go down freely now that he's protected by family. When she releases him, he writes down:"All this shit with Haruki broke something down inside me. I can feel it. I have no Desire to keep going. I don't want to move forward. I play my violin to get coins and buy food so I don't die out of starvation. But I don't want to do anything. I feel sleepy. Things that were once colored are now grey."
