FB10 - Fort Brunsett - Snake Creek
Miles from the commercial heartbeat of the city, Snake Creek runs in a lazily meandering bed from a natural spring up on High hill, never quite broad enough to be called a river, but no small brook, either, carrying its waters down toward the southwestern flatlands -- and providing for the farms there in the process. Very few of the farms in the area are built away from it, a single road coming down from around the Frog Haven pond to the north and following the creek right on through, past Flat Top hill some two miles south-southwest.
Where High is wooded and grassy, Flat Top is, as named, a naturally flat expanse of dirt and stone and struggling grass, home to a few of the city's stranger outdoor businesses.
