Ash officially joins the Greenies.

Location

The Ruined Garden

Ash must have gone ahead and made the Freehold pledge with Queen Morgenstern because here he currently is in the middle of the freehold. Now inside the Hedge the giant man has added a walking stick that is taller than many people and a heavy knife that hangs at he belt. Neither one appears to show any signs of being a token or hedgespun, however.

"I see you are getting right to work with things, Mister Lefevre." Isolde states as she stops in the crystal cave. She wanted to do a quick check in on the Garden and see how it was doing. "I saw that you went ahead and pledged to the Freehold. That means if you'd like to join up with us we can make that all official." she adds with a smile.

Ash slowly nods his shaggy head. "I wanted to take a look at things so that I could begin to catalog the work that needed to be done," Ash says in his slow, dolorous voice. "I did not realize that the work that needed to be done was so extensive. I hope you do not mind but I took a look at the garden. I did not do anything there but I wanted to see what the state of things were."

As per usual, one hears an Etsy before seeing her. The siren sings when she walks, some sort of absurd sugary pop song that her lovely voice makes a little better. "Oh, we might fall, we might fall... " and she comes drifting into view, her little feet barely touching the earth. "Helloandgoodevening!" the mermaid calls, being trailed by her blue-grey otter hedgebeast. "Oh, we did a clearing-outs of the pond some, myself and the mrbl. Hellohello Grandmaster, Mr. Lefevre!"

Isolde gives a nod of her head to that, "Yes, we've not been a Freehold for that long. Probably a yearish." she explains to Ash. "So a lot of things that still need doing." she tells him. "I'm not a Bridgemason, but can help with repairs as needed." she admits. Then there's a look when she starts to hear Etsy and there's a smile, "I see you two have met. That is a good thing. Good evening, Etsy." she states to her with a wave.

"Yes," Ash replies, still speaking slowly and deliberately and enunciating every syllable., "We met last weekend. I was out exploring the nearby hedge when one of the Harvest Men asked for my assistance. We did not really have time to properly make introductions, however." He heads over to Etsy and extends a large hand toward her and in his deep, grinding voice says, "I am Ash."

The hand that's extended back to Ash is more like a flipper, kind of: white skin with translucent webbing up to the first knuckle between all her fingers. The blue-grey otter's fur catches the light, shimmering and sparkling, and it slides around Etsy's ankles like a cat. "A meeting we did have a doing, is trues. I went with Hrvestmans as a Greenie healer friends." Her hand is cool and soft, and she smells beautiful, of course -- lilies and spring at the seaside. "Am an Esther Swift, can be calling me Etsy, as everyone does. My otter is the mrbl. Is now a Greenie recruit you?"

"Well good, Etsy is one of our members as well, so glad that you are acquainted." Isolde states with a genuine smiles. Then Isolde turns and looks to Etsy and there's another smile, "Excellent. I'm glad that you went along." she nods to this. Then there's a look to Ash, "Are you ready to join us, Mister Lefevre?" she asks him.

Ash's hand is decidedly branch-like as he shakes hands with Etsy. "Yes," he says to her. "While there is currently a great deal of work for me to do I do not think it will last so I will probably be spending more time helping out with the gardening than I will be spending building in the long wrong."

He then nods once more to Isolde and says, "Yes. If you do not mind I think it would be good to reshape the pool. While Etsy has cleaned out many of the leaves it does not have good drainage and so it will stagnate once again. I would also like to move the source of the water so that it forms a stream which will help to oxygenate the water."

"As long as is staying deep enough for pools for mermaids. Cannot do so much a swims but is good to be able to get in and have a good looks at plants growing. I did bring some cheeroots to have a growing in there, and also, um. Is good to have a lounging." Etsy rocks slowly back and forth on her feet. "Yes, do have a joining. Do have a needs of many helps." She turns her face toward Isolde. "Did want to do a talkings about the thing you putted up about the jobs?"

Isolde gives a nod and a smile to that, "Excellent, why don't we move to the garden to speak more." she tells Ash and Etsy as she still listens to them. There's a chuckle, "The pool will still be big enough for mermaids and other things." she tells her. Then there's a nod to her, "Sure. Talk away." she states as she heads into the gardens.

Ash plods along behind Isolde as she leads them into the garden. "I was not planning on making it any shallower," he says to Etsy as he walks. "I just think that if we improve the flow it will prevent the water from becoming so stagnant. Of course we may need to build a smaller pool for the growing of plants that require a more anoxic environment." It is certainly odd to hear the word 'anoxic' thrown in with the rest of his very slow, deliberate speech. "I have not done a great deal of work with water features, however, so I could probably use your assistance in making sure things are built right."

"Oh, just having an explains that I do like to do a little bit of a lounge. Is like a chairs for mermaids," Etsy answers, and then rambles on, "Was thinking about the things you were sayings about the Master Healer. Am thinking a Cassian is best choice for Master Gardener, has a great talents for it, have seeing his hollow, it is a beautifuls. I cannot do betters. Am not a doctors, though, of course, only trained by a Springs?" She rocks on her feet, mrbl following after. "Either way, can do a mentors."

Isolde gives a look to Ash and there's a smile, "We don't have a hazing process or anything of that sort, so welcome to being a Recruit for the Greenies. Promotion from Recruit to full Greenie takes about a month and we just need to make sure your medicine training is adequate and I'm sure you are well versed in hedge fruits." she tells him.

Then she looks to Etsy and there's a smile to her, "I have a few candidates that are talking about Master Healer, but we'd love to have you as a Mentor in either case. Cassian is still fairly new in his recruit stage, but he does have the expertise for the job, we just need to make sure he'd be a good fit." she nods to this. "I greatly appreciate the work that you are doing for the garden and with you going on trips with the Harvestmen. I'm also hoping we can get more people in to help so you aren't the only one going out and you can have rest days." she tells her.

Ash nods to Isolde. "If there are any books you could recommend I will read them when I have free time," he says. "Unfortunately Spring contracts are not something I have been able to learn so I would be somewhat limited in my ability to assist with the Harvest Men but I will do what I can."

"Oh, did have a figurings, is not a most importants for mes. Mostly doing a helps, to be certain all things not fallings on you," Etsy assures, flashing a smile toward Isolde that doesn't involve their teeth being shown. "I am not having so much binding up in ideas, if is a better fit someone else, is okays." That slow rocking back and forth continues, like they're caught in a current no one else can see. "Is good if you can bring a fruits with, and do a helping that way," Etsy assures Ash.

"We can most assuredly get you books and things. I also hold classes for those that need medical talents. So don't hesitate to ask." Isolde tells Ash. "Any of the Healers can probably teach as well." she offers. Then there's a look to Etsy and a soft smile, "You're doing great, don't fret over things." she tells her. "Will you show Ash around for me this evening. My shift starts in about thirty minutes at the hospital, so I sadly need to leave you two." she states with a frown.

Ash nods to both Etsy and Isolde. "Thank you," he says. "I will see if I can find some blushberry to transplant. It is a very good plant for bringing along. It is not able to heal more serious wounds like the bloodapple can but it works well for less serious wounds and grows very fast."

"Oh, am not worryings, just saying, will not do a cry if is not pickings me," Etsy assures Isolde, and then wiggles her fingers at the Grandmaster. "Thankings! Will do a show arounds." More of that drifting rock, and then Etsy smiles a bit. "Yes, it is. If could get an amaranthine, to grows, that would be an ideals. But is not an easies to get them. Is good to have, and do a preserves, for peoples not best able to do a Spring heals."

Cassian steps in through the graceful entry arch.

Should do a preserves the amaranthines, make sure do always have. Is good to have, and do a preserves, for peoples not best able to do a Spring heals."

Isolde gives a slight bow of her head, for all she was the leader of the group she was not one to lord over people. There's a smile to Ash, "That would be wonderful. I also know we have a good crop of Jarmyn and Alonso and Allen will probably need our assistance with a concoction for a troublesome spot in the hedge." she tells him. Then there's a smile to Etsy, "It's no trouble and yes, anything that you'd like to preserve please do so. We have places to store it and such." the woman states. Then there's a look to Ash again, "Ian contacted me and I wanted to apologize about the confusion. Greengardens is the front for the Greenies, Brennan Gardens is Ian's personal nursery. If you would like to work at Greengardens we have a spot for you." she offers.

Ash smiles to Isolde, which is not exactly a comforting expression. There is a certain unnatural and forced quality to it, more of a display of emotion than actual emotion. "Thank you," he says. "That would be very nice. I think it is important for me to have regular contact with normal humans and working at the nursery is probably a good way to do that."

As he talks he walks over to the edge of the pool and slowly crouches down. He reaches down to plant both hands on the ground and is seems as though his skin shifts and his fingers lengthen, like his arms are taking root in the soft Earth.

"Am not the best for the preservings, but will do a helps. Are we having a listings of which persons is best at doing a preserves, which one best at doing a grows? Did I missings? Am not most organized persons." Etsy follows after Ash, curiously, followed by her hedge-otter, and crouches down next to him, watching.

"I'll send you the information tomorrow, Ash." Isolde tells him. Then there's a look to Etsy and a smile, "I don't think I've gotten that information passed down to me, but I'm going to ask for people to send me what they are specialized in, so I'll make sure to get that posted.' she states. "I will get those out in the morning when I'm home. If I have to work a double I'll be a bit late, but will get them done on my break." she tells them as she gives a smile and turns to head for the archway.

"I am trained in preserving goblin fruit," Ash replies as Etsy watches him. "I can teach you some recipes for amaranthine that are not too hard to do." As he talks further tendrils seem to reach out from his arms into the ground while woody shoots begin to pop up out of the ground near him and bordering the pool. The shoots grow into vines which twists together and begin to slowly writhe, and as they do they begin to drag the edges of the pool into a new shape.
