Roteaters gain +2 to resist poison and disease. If the toxin is ingested, the bonus increases to +3.

Active Blessing: Scavenger's Nature

Roteaters may spend a Glamour to scrounge for a useful item without requiring a successful perception check. If the item is used in the same scene in which it was found, the roteater gains a +2 equipment bonus to any rolls made utilizing that item. If the item is used in a story-worthy manner, it may be used in Hedgespinning. If not, it loses all worth and utility by the end of the scene.

Items found by scrounging in this manner are always of 0 Resource value and reasonably small. When a ST is involved, the item found is at the ST's discretion.

Story-worthiness is also at the discretion of any present ST. Broadly speaking, this means using the item to affect dramatic change in the story being told. For example, using a scrounged belt to trip the enemy or rescue a friend is far more story-worthy than using it to hold up a weapon or splint an arm.
