Everyone in the Garreau family knows Aunt Gigi. She's the one who always tells the best stories around the bonfire at those fall gatherings up at the old vineyard. She's more than a little gregarious, able to talk with anyone about nearly anything. She's even pretty good at listening, aware that everyone's got a story--which she might be able to pilfer for her next novel. Her mystery series has met with some modest acclaim; she might do better if she engaged in more book tours, but Gigi doesn't get away from Fort Brunsett much.

She's got that Look which will stop a person in their tracks. It helps keep the family playing nice, stemming the tide of petty gossip when she catches wind of it. The less fortunate members of the family know well that she's got a fiery temper to back that glare up, her bite at least as bad as her bark. All in all, she cares deeply for the Garreaus, even if it means yelling at them from time to time to keep them in line.
