Talking To Marv

"Like this shithead here."

Participants

Dielle and Isolde

2017.12.11

The Captain and the Grandmaster meet over Marv and discuss him. Like he's not even in the room.

Location

Stoneheart

Isolde had finally gotten time to drag over one Marv. Apparently this ratting looking privateer was Dielle's present. She'd told Dielle that if it was alright that she'd have him at the Ruined Garden in Stoneheart, because that's where they had been keeping him sometimes as well. "I apologize that we've been playing tag of sorts." she explains as she settles the fellow down in a chair. He doesn't look like he's going to run. Maybe because he's terrified of the Bright One? Who knows?

"It's been crazy," agrees Dielle. "Alonso handed me a girl in a glass casket, too, and why the hell that one is my problem instead of his, I'm still not sure. So I'm sorry, too." She looks over at the privateer and smiles. It's not a NICE smile. She looks back at Isolde and resumes a politer expression, one that doesn't seem to take joy in the thought of torturing and killing a bastard. "I'm fine with keeping him wherever he was, I don't really got a dungeon set up anywhere, y'know? And if I keep him at my place, the urge to do some really awful things to him is gonna be too great to resist. How'd you find him?"

Isolde gives her a nod to that, "I got word from Mayor Jack that some of our Freeholders and then some of our locals had been kidnapped by him and some of his friends. They were going to sell them at a market. To Keepers or to someone else we don't know yet. So I headed out with a few people and we got Esther and Haruki back as well as the non-Freeholders, because I'm not going to let them sit out there. We killed the rest of his friends. He'll join them if he's not got anything of interest or of use to tell us." she tells Dielle. "I wanted to see if you wanted to interrogate him any." she adds.

Dielle says, "Oh, yes. And then some. That's real kind of you, thanks. Everything went ok in the capturing? None of ours got hurt? And I don't just mean freeholders by that." She looks over at Jerkface, and her expression darkens.

"People were injured but I fixed them before we left. One of them is going to be joining up with the Freehold it seems like." Isolde chuckles at that. "But, yes, I figured even if this is just a random occurrence that it's better to ask him questions and then watch the place where we got told to go. See if anyone else tries to move in or if someone misses them." she frowns.

Dielle says, "I've got a few questions for him, yeah. Is it just me or are there a /lot/ of people who're getting kidnapped and tortured and killed, lately? Makes me feel like havin' a militia's damn near useless, y'know?" She sighs.

Isolde gives a shake of her head, "No, we need you alot, so don't think like that." she states in a gentle tone. "And I'm not a militia leader. I'm a healer. I just got a not and it was a go now situation." she frowns. "I'm hoping that this will slack off. Or at least...not be so damn often. I know we're a community built on people who have been taken, but it's crazy numbers." she admits.

Dielle nods, and says, "No worries, I'm not going anywhere. If nothing else, it's a good thing to have an active figurehead around. Not that I feel like a figurehead, but you know what I mean. I'm glad it's not just me who's noticing that it's kinda insane, lately. What else is going on, anyhow? And is it ok if we keep stashing Shithead here where you been stashing him?"

Isolde gives her a warm smile, "I know and I think you've got time to still get settled before anyone has any room to talk negatively." she states. "It's been worrisome, so if others didn't see it I'd be thinking we'd have a bigger issue." she admits. "Right now I haven't heard of anything else going on. Let's keep our fingers crossed on that." she mentions. Then there's a look to Marv, "Shithead has been stashed in my private hollow for the moment. I rarely use it and it's not posted about. Plus...there's not much to do there. So it's the perfect place for boredom to set in." she muses.

Dielle laughs. "Boredom is good. Boredom is VERY good, for shitheads like that. Although, I've got a lot of slumberberries. Sleeping shitheads can't escape or plot to escape." She nods, and says, "Do you not keep him tied up like some kind of dominatrix queen?"

"Sleeping is the best for him. Because if he squirms I'm afraid Cassian would try to bloodlet him for the garden and he's no good to us dead." Isolde states. "Well, not yet anyways." she shrugs. Then there's a warm laugh, "Oh heavens no. Perfectly good time wasted on that, no." she muses.

"Cassian may end up with him for the garden anyway. Well...I don't think 'may' is the proper word for it. 'Will.' Will is the proper word. Do you mind telling me the circumstances around finding him and capturing him, again? I mean, with some detail."

Isolde gives a nod of her head to that, "He will be overjoyed to have fresh blood for his babies." she admits. Then there's a smile, "Not at all. Mayor Jack is an ally of ours. He said that there had been reports of a few of ours being abducted in basically broad daylight. He sent a message to me and from there, I gathered those I could and set out to the Hollow where they were being held. I can take you and some other Harvestmen there if wanted. They had traps all over the place, some pretty nasty ones." she frowns. "From there, we found that they had three Changelings and one mortal captive. We set to freeing them and in the process killed everyone but Marv here." she points to the Changeling in the chair.

"Mayor Jack knows about us?" Dielle mulls that one over, then decides, "That's pretty handy. If you want to take some of us to that Hollow, that'd be awesome. I would truly appreciate it." She shakes her head. "I just don't get why Lost would sell people to the highest bidder. That's probably to my credit, though."

Isolde gives a soft nod to that, "Yeah, he has for awhile, used to be sworn to the Freehold to, but isn't anymore." she tells her. "I'll see what we can do about getting out there to the Hollow." she states. Then there's a sigh, "I don't know why Lost do some of the stuff they do. It's just...why would you wish to put people through the shit you went through. Or put people back into hell? Makes no sense. And if that is what they want to do then I will make sure that they are dealt with swiftly so that no one can be harmed by them again." she nods to that.

Dielle says, "Hey, don't hog all of it. I'm rather fond of taking out pieces of shit like this one." She says it like she's teasing. She might even BE teasing. But part of her still means it. "Wouldn't be the first time."

Isolde laughs to that, "Hey, I will gladly share, I just wish Cassian would save me some damn hearts blood so I could get some work done." she chuckles. "And yeah, I heard about the mess with the Hunters that were trying to move in. Glad that didn't happen." she admits. "So we have one Privateer to question. We'll hopefully get some good information from him. And hopefully this isn't a bigger issue." she tells Dielle.

Dielle says, "If it is, we'll deal with it. That's what guns are for, after all. And we got a few people on our side who're unlikely to put up with much, y'know?" She pulls out a notebook and starts writing down a few notes, possibly questions.

Isolde gives a nod to that, "Ask him why Jonquil got knifed so badly. I didn't even see who did it. But boy, someone didn't like him." she admits. "But, we'll start with those and go from there. I figure Czcibor might have some or something as well." she states.

Dielle nods, and says, "Pretty sure he wil...oh, man, I keep forgetting he's a major player in the Greenies." She nods and says, "Good job. I was gonna tap him for Second in the Harvestmen, but I think that's a bit too much on divided loyalties." She offers Isolde a fistbump, like she's applauding.

"He told me that he was going to need to be more active in the Harvestmen as opposed to the Greenies when I offered him the position, so I didn't have a problem with him doing more for you guys. We've not really been called to do much and Master Healer isn't a political position. So I still think you should talk to him on it." Isolde tells her as she fistbumps her. "And it's working together, not apart in the end. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders when it comes to balancing." she states.

Dielle nods. "I think so. But I also think not having one's duties be all kinds of conflicty might be a good idea. I'll probably ask him to be a lieutenant, and figure out someone else for Second. It's all good." She grins at Isolde and says, "I'm rethinkin' the structure of the Harvestmen anyhow. Rorschach's in the Hedge a /lot/, these days, and there just ain't enough people to support the old version, y'know?"

Isolde gives her a nod, "It is a fair thing, yes." she tells her. Then she listens to her and she gives a understanding look, "I agree with that, if we had to do groups, we'd be screwed right now. So if you feel going with another structure is beneficial then I'd talk on it, yes." she nods to that.

Dielle nods and says, "Yeah, I plan to. Especially since I'm having to guard Lady Stiff, y'know? That's just messy." She stands up, then, and says, "Why don't I help you take Shithead here to wherever he's goin' back to, and we'll get some of the questioning done?"
