Participants | 22 May, 2017 The Vizier and Byron discuss the particulars of a Pledge created at the orders of Queen Pook |

Byron bends down to steal a kiss from the shadowmonster at his table, nodding in agreement with her explanation, "Be back in a bit." With that said, he does step away from the table to approach Augusta, lowering his voice as he steps in closer to her heat and proximity, "If you have a moment to talk? Her Majesty requested we have a conversation. We can have it here or somewhere with less of an audience, if you like?" Setting her needlepoint down, the Vizier offers Byron and smile and nod, a clawed hand gesturing to a chair next to her at the red table. "I am more than happy to speak, sir. If the Queen wishes it, I am bound to comply." At your table Byron settles in and takes in a deep breath, "His highness said you both had spoken about the Loyalist problem already and requested I be the one to handle the pledge aspect of the issue with you. He explained it was a year and a day given to resolve the problem, but I would offer that, considering the issue, the Harvestmen would be willing to assist in the hunt, should that help expedite the issue." At your table Augusta smiles at Byron, "I am glad. My conflict with The Knight ... this is the name of the Loyalist in question, has been transpiring for almost a century. He serves my Keeper." Her fiery eyes regard him, considering, "It is a question as to whether or not he will be successful in finding me here. The last time there was a period of ten years between our encounters. If we wish to search for him that is possible ... drawing him here is even easier. A concerted and organized effort to dispatch him is possible. I know that my being here brings a threat of danger to the Freehold, but this is the home of my birth." At your table Byron nods slowly, "He's offered this effort to swear, and suggested I be the one to bear witness as it concerns a vulnerability with me should it be broken or remain unfulfilled." With that said, he pulls a small card out of his coat and slides it across the table, with Pook's elegant writing on it. At your table Augusta looks down at the card and reads. She is quiet a long moment, then nods, "Agreed. It would be an honour to stand by you in the future battle and have your assistance in destroying this nemesis of mine." At your table Byron bows his head, "A threat to one of us is a threat to all of us. I am not comfortable with waiting a year to deal with this one, but when we are not clear on where to start, we obviously will need time. When you need help with the search, the resources of the Freehold are at your disposal. Let one of us know and they will make sure it gets to me." At your table Augusta smiles in return, "Thank you, sir. As a Vizier, I am beholden to the Freehold and serve whoever sits on the throne. Please extend my offer of service to the Harvestmen. If they ever require my knowledge or my magic, in whatever endeavours they undertake, it is theirs." She bows her golden crowned head in gratitude. Byron murmurs along with Augusta for a little bit longer, then after some agreement finally slowly rises to his feet and offers a slow bow of his head, "Thank you, Lazy Vizier." He even offers the woman a smile, "We will definitely keep that in mind. A good evening to you..." and with that said, seems about to head back home, himself. Augusta rises from her seat as Byron speaks to her and gives him a nod, "Good evening, sir." She then sits herself back down to finish her needlepoint. |
