Isolde meets Adeline who wants to join the Greenies!

Location

The Ruined Garden

It's one of those Friday nights where there's a lot of traffic in and out of Stoneheart. Isolde has been in the Ruined Garden for less than an hour, but it's been to work on the benches she'd built last Summer. She's still in her scrubs from work, but wanted to stop in and make sure she was around if people needed her for a bit.

The smell of freshly baked cookies comes before Adeline. Its the smell that one remembers from grandma's over the hill and through the woods. She's got her tree looking walking stick with her and the Wizened Woodblood moves with what looks like to be pretty arthritic joints. Still she hikes her way up to the Stoneheart and the Garden just fine, without being short of breath. Just stiff. Maybe its all the wood and roots in her system.

"Ah, dearie. You are Isolde? Hello lass. My name is Adeline Mabel Florence Desrochers, but everyone calls me Nana. Please call me Nana. And My grandbabies have convinced me to stop just sitting around, so I'd like to come offer my services as a Greenie."

Isolde looks up from her carving when she hears the voice and there's a smile and a wave, "I'm Isolde, yes." she offers. "We used to have someone called Nana, so I'd rather call you Adeline if that's alright?" she asks her. Little do people know that Isolde is Nana's age. "And we are always happy to have new Greenies. Are you a healer or a gardner or a bit of both?" she asks her with a smile.

Adeline chuckles, a good natured chuckle from the craggy old face. "I'm sure there are lots of Nana's in the world lass, so if you don't I won't be offended." Her voice is scratchy, deep, from too many cigarettes for too many years. "I'm a gardener and a healer, as much as I can be. I'm Spring with the Contracts with Verdant and Eternal and I have a touch of Faerie in my hands that lets me use Fruit for anyone, as long as they eat my candies." She smiles. "And soon, my own Garden will be up and running," She glances around, considering. "Though I suppose I can help here as well, if you need the hands."

"I just don't want to offend anyone. I'm sure I'll get used to it. The other Nana was a Desrochers as well. So it was just an odd moment." Isolde muses. "Another Spring. Delightful. I'm always happy to have more of our court in the group. "Right now we are lacking in the healer and gardner department, so flexibility is an amazing gift that we'd love to have right now." she admits. "This has been our biggest task. The Greenies have been working non stop on the garden. So any time put in here would be lovely." she nods. "What questions can I answer?" she asks her.

Adeline looks a bit surprised. "What questions? Oh lass I would have figured you would be asking me!" She gives another cackle of a laugh, then shakes her head. "No no, lass. I am quite content. Put me to work wherever you need me to be and I will be glad to do so. I will happily help out wherever I can. I plan on speaking with November about being a Waykeeper as well, and just being as helpful as I can. I can get started in the Garden here if you want?"

Isolde gives a warm chuckle, "Well, I generally just ask people if they are a healer or gardner, where they want to focus mainly and things of that nature. You offered Court." she tells her. There's a thoughtful look to her though, "You know, I might put you at the Green Garden. It's our public facing business. It's a greenhouse and things as well. Cassian, our Master Gardener needs a hand most times. He's...not good with humans." she shakes her head. "Brilliant with plants and hedgefruit though." she tells her. "As for this space. I need to schedule a group clean up day. Kind of bring the group together with the old and the new." she nods.

Another nod is given, and Adeline finds the edge of a bench to sit upon, where she won't be in the way. Her bones (branches?) creek as she settles in and she grunts slightly. The walking stick is used more than not. "Well then. Thats good. As it will undoubtedly matter, I'm also a Blackbird. I know there's a couple running around these parts, so may not be of much use that, but there it is." She chuckles slightly. "Heal the body, heal the mind, heal the soul too. I feel bad for these 'Changelings who are loosing their way. Humanity is such a dear thing, to let it slip by us..." She gives a sad smile.

Isolde gives a smile to that, "Well, that will be good for the Freehold as a whole." she tells her. "I know that Nathania is one of our other Bishops." she states. "And some of them with their higher power levels are just...we need to remind them that sometimes it's not really worth becoming closer to the Gentry." she shakes her head. "I'm going to need to head out soon, I'm on call for the ER. So if my pager goes off it won't register out here." she tells her.

Adeline nods her head. "No worries my dear. You are doing good work at the hospital, I am sure. Don't let this old lady take up your time - She's already lived her life. Thank you muchly lass, and I'll be sure to work when and how I can."

Isolde gives her a smile to Adeline, "You've got a lot more life to live." she tells her. "But, I'll be in touch with you, Nana. Just let me know if you need anything. We've got a meeting coming up so you can meet others there if you don't before then." she states. "It was good to meet you and welcome to the Greenies!" she grins as she gives her a wave.
