Haruki visits Doll's shop and shows her a trick.

Location

Doll had considered various places to live but when it came down to it she figured she'd be best off opening her own little shop to live above where any said linked hollows might be the safest of bets to be linked too. There's a little silver bell on her wooden door that dings when anyone enters the shop below in case she's not around. It's got a wood styled floor with finished wood shelves atop of which sit various crafts, items, music boxes, jewelery boxes, figures, anything of the sort. A sign sits at her desk in the back that notes she also takes custom requests.

At the moment she is down in the shop dressed in a long black sweater dress like top with leggings underneathe. Her dark hair falls in perfect curled waves at the end. She does look a tad too perfect come to think of it, in the eerie sort of way. Her large green eyes are focused down at the desk she sits at while she doodles on a piece of paper.

Haruki's carrying an umbrella and wrapped up prepared for rain. He steps into the shop, looking around curiously, with the lack of intention of someone who's just browsing. The jangle of the bell above catches his attention for a moment.

Doll looks up when she hears someone enter, those vacant green eyes staring towards the man. "Oh hello there." She says in her soft trill of a voice as she rises to her feet and folds her hands before herself. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

"I was just browsing," Haruki says. "I wasn't sure what Lost Treasures was." He peers around curiously.

Doll tips her head some to the side. "Its anything you want it to be really." She tells him while she moves out to the floor. "A little craft shop I opened for gifts or items. I can also make something anyone may request as custom as well. I have open possibilities."

"Oh," Haruki says. "What sort of things do you make?"

Doll gestures to the items laid out around the shop. "Anything that you see here is what I can make, though I do go beyond. "If you had something particular in mind I'd be able to tell you if I could pull it off or not." She offers while giving him that empty stare of hers as she watches him. As if some sort of life is missing from behind those eyes.

Haruki doesn't seem at all disconcerted by her empty gaze. He looks around the room thoughtfully, but he doesn't seem to get struck by inspiration from anything he sees. "Oh. I don't think I need any dolls or toys." He admits. "I don't really know any children."

"Like I've stated. Its more then just toys." She tells him. "What is it that you would find use in?" She asks out of curiosity and moves back to take a seat upon the edge of her desk. "You should tell me more about yourself."

"I'm Haruki and I'm a Magician," Haruki smiles, nice and bright and cheerful. "I don't even have a house yet though, I'm still looking for somewhere to stay. So I'm not sure what I need."

"Oh a magician?" She thinks for a moment, tapping the tip of her nail to her lower lip in thought as she gazes up. "Then how about something like...a coin that always lands on heads no matter what? Or some other thing that may flavor up a trick or two."

Haruki shakes his head at that. "I've got some coins like that already. And double sided coins too. But usually, you're best just to practice flipping it than use a gimmicked coin."

Doll shrugs some. "It wouldn't be double sided." She points out. "But that was just an example of sorts. Tell me what would be interesting to you to have." She folds her hands in her lap.

Haruki looks lost as Doll asks him that question. He just looks stuck as he tries to find something, anything, and creativity fails him. "I don't know," he admits, looking a bit awkward just now.

Doll leands forwards some. "What sort of tricks does a magician strive to perform?" She asks him. "What is one that you may just need a little more help with? A card that always reveals what the other person had in mind?"

Haruki shakes his head at this. "I'm not really into mentalism," he admits. "It's not my thing. But I do know tricks where I can have the cards people picked. I know lots of card tricks." He smiles. "They're so beautiful when done right. I love magic and how it inspires people and brings wonder into their lives and shows them there's something more than the ordinary there." His face lights up as he speaks of it. "Do you have a favourite Magician?"

Doll smiles some. "Something that will inspire them with wonder..." Doll repeats. "I don't know many magicians..." She tells him. "Not any to name at least." She says while looking down. "What would inspire you with wonder if you were to see it?"

"No?" Haruki asks. "Well you know me now." He smiles. "And maybe if I do a magic trick for you, that would make me your favourite magician?" he asks hopefully.

Doll nods. "Why not show me a trick then?" She asks him while gazing towards him as she patiently waits for him to show her something, if he will.

Haruki studies her, thoughtfully, trying to think of what trick might impress. "Do you have a piece of paper I can use?" he asks. And then. "Actually, do you have a dollar bill?"

Doll gets up and moves to the other side of the desk, pulling a dollar bill from the registers. She quietly passes it over to him, keeping her gaze upon it. "There you are."

"Thank you," Haruki smiles. He takes the bill and examines it, keeping it in view. And then he starts to fold it, intricately, with dextrous fingertips. Soon the form of an origami dancer takes shape, and there she stands, long skirt, arms out-stretched in motion. He waves his hands around her and she spins as if of her own accord.

Doll rests her chin in her palm while she watches him fold up the bill into the form of a dancer, much like that of the ones trapped in those little globes around her shop. She watches it spin and tips her head then with a half quirk of her lips. "How pretty." She breathes.

Haruki smiles at Doll's response, soft and sweet. He sets her twirling up into the air, but no, it's now an origami swan soaring instead, its wings lifted up. Yet paper money doesn't fly far and it flutters down to land back on the counter. He picks it up, blows on it, and it's just a plain flat dollar bill again, which he offers back.

Doll watches the little swan fly through the air and as it lands and unfurls. She shakes her head when he offers it back and holds up a hand. "Keep it." She tells him. "Maybe I'll come to one of your shows one day." She tells him while she thinks. "And to think...for a brief moment she was actually made of money." Doll muses in reference to the little dancer he had created.

Haruki smiles at what she says. "Thank you." The dollar's pocketed. "Which would be better, to be a bird, to fly with all the freedoms of the sky, or to be made of money?" He smiles. "When I have a show, I'll send you an invitation, certainly."

"Well a bird of course." She anwsers simply. "As long as it does not end up in a cage." She smiles to him then. "I'll look forward to it. Just use this address to send it too. I just live up there." She nods upwards towards the upper floor.

"It depends on the cage," Haruki says. "And the bird. I want canaries, and doves," he admits. "There's this absolutely beautiful magic trick with an orange, a lemon, an egg and a canary. But, I'd also want my birds to be happy and well loved and cared for. I haven't had any before since it's not fair to them." He nods. "I'll do that."

"Sounds like an intersting trick. Where do you plan to keep the birds? If you do end up getting them? Perhaps taming them and just hoping that keep coming back around?" She inquires. "Even a house can be a cage." She points out. "If the doors are shut."

"In an aviary in my house," Haruki says. "Somewhere warm where they can fly about and be happy." He nods. "It can be. But, canaries are going to die if theyr'e released outside. They'll get eaten or freeze."

Doll considers for a moment. "I suppose you are right." She tells him. "Because they are used to it being warm? How very far from home they must have ended up. I wish you all the luck in setting up their aviary."

Haruki nods. "I'm still undecided," he admits. "I've to get a house first and, well birds will likely come last. Once I have somewhere nice for the gang - I mean rabbits - to hang out. Do you have any pets here?"

Doll shakes her head. "I don't, no. I just sort of got it all set up and moved in myself." She tells him. "If anything I might get something small or easy to take care of at some point. But I am not sure when. Where are you looking to live?"

"I'm not sure," Haruki admits. "I've been looking around. Everywhere's so expensive here. I'd expected it to be a bit cheaper." He shrugs. "I'd hoped my money would stretch further out here, with it being so rural, but it's the opposite. My brother wants to stay around here though, and I'm sure it'll be good for him."

Doll half smiles. "Its sort of why I opened a little shop here. To make the money to pay for it." She says with somewhat of a chuckle. "A bit ironic...but it works."

Haruki smiles and nods. "I hope you do well. Do you have a website?"

"Actually...no I don't. But I should probably look into that, huh?" She tells him. "I'm not very good with computers myself. I'll have to find someone."

"I know a little, it's not too tricky to set up a basic site," Haruki says. "Maybe even just a facebook page to start with would do."

Doll glances off to the side then back at him. "Do a lot of people use facebook around here?" She asks with some interest. "Would you help me make one of those then?" She bites at her lip. "I'll actually need to get a laptop first."

"Do you have a smartphone?" Haruki asks. "You can do it on there." He nods. "Sure, I'll help if you want. I think most people everywhere use it."

Doll nods and pulls her phone from her pocket. "I do have one of those.." She tells him while looking down at it. A moment later she passes it over to him.

Haruki'll walk Doll, very patiently, through setting up a facebook account for the shop. He lets her do it, just explaining how.

Doll watches and then she follows the rest of the steps to set it up. "There, good enough for now. Thank you." She tells him.

Haruki smiles and nods. "There. And I'm sure someone else can help you do things better." He takes out his phone and will leave a comment on the page saying it's a great shop.

Doll does laugh softly to herself. "Thanks again. I should get back to working on some things for now. Don't be shy to come around." She offers while heading back to the desk.
