ER11 - East Bank - Tamarack Falls Overlook
The waterfall's thunder is a rumble in the bones, the weight of thousands upon thousands of pounds constantly striking and splash-spraying from the stones a good two hundred yards below. A sturdy railing strives to protect human visitors from taking that same drop, but the constant mist and wet is murder on the wood: several sections have been replaced in recent months, the wood still fresh. Initials and graffiti have been helpfully added as a decorative element.
On good days, the vista affords a clear view down over Lake Brunsett to the south straight past the small city below, the fort on its hill a more distant target, and much photographed in local postcards. The Green Mountains haze the farthest horizons. The slopes of Mischance to the northeast are plainly visible, its hulking bulk no less impressive for being shorter than its cousins across the river Tam.
