Aaron joins the Custodians officially.

Location

Stoneheart

It's the middle of the afternoon. Though within the Hedge, middle of the afternoon isn't really saying much. But it's the middle of the afternoon and all within the Freehold seem to be moving with a flow since the crowning of the Reginald Pook, the Spring Queen. Within the caverns that lead to the Autumn Court's nook within the freehold, there is not much going on as of current. Wandering in a quiet stride along the perimeter of the court's cavern is a quiet man, accompanied by a willowy and pale woman. She's dressed in black and wears a black scarf around her neck. Aaron Fletcher walks quietly beside her, hands tucked behind his back, and carries all the demeanor of an old-fashioned gentleman. "This place looks unloved," comes the voice of the ghost alongside him. "Love is relative, Sasha," Aaron says quietly. "What some might consider abandoned and unloved, one might feel right at home." She looks to him. "Do you feel home here?" Aaron shrugs slightly. "Time will tell sis. Time will tell."

"Love isn't always relative, Aaron." Ashe's voice comes from somewhere within the cavern. Then a large bat drops down from the ceiling and shifts into the form of the Custodian-Elect. "Sorry." she tells him for eavesdropping. "Are you doing alright here?" she asks as she looks from Aaron to the space next to him and then back to the Darkling.

Aaron makes a step back to allow the Custodian-Elect to transform without violating her space. He offers a nod. "Good afternoon, Custodian Whelan." He gestures between the two. "I don't think you've had the opportunity of meeting my sister. This is Sasha." The willowy girl rolls her eyes and gives a groan. "It's really Natasha. Aaron just prefers to call me Sasha." She offers a nod to you. "Pleased to meet you." Aaron chimes in. "This is Ashe Whelan. A friend from Boston, and also head honcho." A pause and then Aaron adds, "I'm holding up alright. Still have much to do to get settled in town, but all in due time. Yourself?"

"We've known each other too long for you not to call me Ashe." She shakes her head. "So please, call me Ashe." she smiles. Then she looks to Sasha and smiles, "It's good to meet you, Natasha." she tells her. "I will apologize in advance as one of my Kiths is called Saltborn, we can repel entities if needed..so if Aaron and I are ever in trouble and I need to do that, I apologize." she explains to the ghost. She then looks to Aaron, "I'm doing alright. I was meaning to catch you sometime to see how you two were doing in the new town." she admits.

Sasha takes a step back, almost reflexively. "It's noted." She then looks at Aaron. "I'm gonna explore," she says it in a way like she's asking more than telling. "That's fine." She nods and waves to both before moving down the hall. Aaron looks back to you and offers a light smile. "You know me and formalities. But I will refrain from such when it's just the two of us. As far as how we're doing--we're doing alright. Sasha goes off on adventures from time to time, and I'm still looking at current properties on the market. Trying to find something that's fitting for a spooky writer and his ghost to haunt. I was sad to miss the crowning."

Ashe gives Sasha an apologetic look and then nods to her, "We'll be here." she tells her. Then she looks back to Aaron, "I'm glad you are settling alright. Makes me feel better." she nods to this. "And I wanted to speak to you on a few things. Maybe a Motley and I wanted to see if you would like to join up wiht the Custodians once settled." she smiles.

Aaron nods and finds a place to sit. "You mentioned that to me once before. They are the lore keepers within the Freehold, yes? What would I need to do to sign up? What would my duties be? Is there a decent 401k plan with the position?"

Ashe gives a bit of a laugh, "Yes, they are the Lorekeeps and the ones that go in search of new knowledge." she tells him. "And you'd just need to talk to me given I'm the head of the group." she smiles. "And sadly...there's no benefits except being more influential in the Freehold." she chuckles.

Aaron nods and considers. "Well...let me see..." he hmms in psudo sage fashion. Rubbing his chin and a beard that is not there. "I am a frequent explorer of strange knowledge. A position within the Freehold that asks for people to search for new knowledge. I like knowledge. Sounds like a good match." He looks back to you. "I'd be honored to join the ranks of the Custodians, Ashe."

Ashe gives a bit of a laugh when Aaron lists off the things and she gives a nod to him, "I think you'd fit in pretty well." she admits. When he accepts she gives a little clap, "Excellent. We'll get you all settled in then." she beams. "And, I would like to get you and my friend Byron together sometime. I think they three of us...four of us would do well in a Motley." she admits.

Aaron nods. "Let's get settled in then!" Aaron says with a smile in is tone. "You can tell me what our current assignments are, and what I can do to assist." At the re-mention of a Motley, he nods. "So talk to me about that a bit more. What sort of coterie are you thinking?"

"I figured since we're all in the Ashen Court that we could go with protecting esoteric knowledge. Making sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands." Ashe suggests. "I was thinking we could go with the name The Graveyard Shift. Or something like that." she tells him.
