WW04 - Wilderness - Salvation East - Peak Trail
Long, a good hour's walk, the one-lane road continues its way up the mountainside toward the lower of Salvation's two peaks.
Interrupted in several places by scenic overlooks which double as a spot for cars to turn around or get out of the way, should another come from the other direction, the rocky path is a common one for day hikers, and, thanks to the cell towers on nearby peaks, affords excellent service despite its rural location.
The occasional cabin nestles itself off amidst the trees, electricity a chancy thing and largely generator-run, though an underground line does run up the slope toward the peak.
