Following up from their chatting at the park, Ben and Sylvana have a moment of friendship at the foyer of the hotel and end up with an unrequired audience.

Location

Red Clover Hotel

The engine yelled once more before starting to move out into the streets. Ben commands are steady and precise and the car, in the other side, answers and runs through the city swiftly and faster than anything else. When they occasionally stop at the traffic lights, people can stop staring at his car and taking pictures just because them can. Ben, on the pilot seat, doesn't mind the attention but stare back at people what causes instantly fear on them. That, somehow, looks to please Ben. The fear he causes on people. His eyes look satisfied. As he was eating something really delicious and pleasant.

When they finally reach the Hotel, Ben makes the machine to die just in front of the front door of the main building."Not that bad, hm?" He asks as he jumps over his door and turns around the car to open the door to Sylvana with a smile.

Sylvana carefully climbs out and smiled to Ben. "That was wonderful! I have never rode in a car like that before. The Jeep has its own good sides mind you especially out in the country but this is for sure a good car for the city and highways! You handle it very well."

"Thank you very much." Ben says as he, once more, offer his arm to lead them inside of the building."I'll take you to the foyer and will head to my room pretty quickly to retrieve your gift, alright?" He says as they cross into the foyer.

Sylvana takes his arm and after giving a few clicks and whistles to Greyson she accompanied him inside. She blinked a few times as she looked around the hotel and she gave a smile. "Its lovely" She said as she studied things on her way through. Oddly she felt under dressed for a place such as this.

"It's still a long wait from being really impressive, but it's home." Ben says looking proud of the place. But as further as they go, his face changes back to the intimidating and arrogant mask."I'll be back in a minute. You can wander around if you will. Just don't head into the left wing. It's family's." He whispers to her before gently letting her arm go off of his. With that, he makes his way to the left wing of the building with that superiority on his shoulder. The staff, once they see him walking, straights up, stop chatting to each other and remain serious and professional as long and Ben's presence can be sent. When the door leading to the family wing closes, though, they start murmuring and shaking his head. Probably talking about the Utridge man and his intimidating presence.

Sylvana watched as he moved away and she bit her bottom lip lightly before she slowly started to make her way around the foyer looking about. She carefully listened to conversations if she could hear them as she passed curious to see what was being spoken about. She hoped they did not speak Ill of Ben as despite his intimidating presence he was a very nice man.

"That man gives me the shivers since he had that car accident last year. Do you remember?" A middle-aged woman to her colleague behind the check-in counter. The other woman, a younger version of the first, bites her lip."He was better before. Marry, from the kitchen, once told me she heard Eleanor saying he had a massive trauma on his head and that changed his personality." She then pauses when she realizes their conversation is bein eavesdropped and cleans her throat. But the olde woman, typing something on her computer, doesn't get the tip and continues."Thomas, the doorman, once told me he found him drunk as hell taking a very young lady to his room in the middle of the night. Honestly, I'd go to that room too. He looks to be very manly on his parts, you know?" She then grins to the screen just before having his side poked by the other girl. That finally makes the two of them to shut up and look at Sylvana.

Sylvana frowned a bit and bit her lip for a moment before she spoke. Her alluring voice slipped from her lips drifting towards them. "Hes actually a very kind man if you just give him the chance. I do not know what happened to him after the accident or how he was before but I know how he is now and hes very kind. You just have to get past his presence and see the person that lies beneath. Perhaps if you were more concerned with trying to know him then gossiping about him you would understand."

"What's all this chatting about?" A blond woman asks from behind Sylvana. She's slightly more ellegant than the two over the counter and looks to be of a higher rank inside the Hotel since the two attendants freeze and gives her polite and fake smiles."Nothing. We were telling this lady here we don't have more rooms for the holiday, Miss." The older attendant says as he looks at Sylvana and gives her a smile. Fake, too.

Sylvana just frowned at the two of them before turning and giving the woman a soft smile. "Just a little talking is all. I am actually just waiting for Ben, he went to collect something from his room."

The higher ranked woman arches a brow when he hears the woman calling the Utridge by his short name."Ben?" She asks looking unimpressed in a very arrongant way."Take care, girl. The world spins and, tomorrow, you'll be just past news to Mr Utridge. Like all the other girls." She says and now there is some sort of bitterness to her worlds. The kind of bitterness that comes straight from a brokenheart. But that doesn't linger as the woman cleans her throat."You too. Go back to work. I don't want to hear you gossiping again." And with that, she turns around and heads away with firm paces and the sounds of high heeled shoes echoing on the foyer.

Sylvana shook her head some. "I would take care if I were thinking of him as anything but a friend." She said softly and then looked back to the other two and raised a brow but she did not ask the question that was clearly crossing her mind. Instead she moved to one of the chairs and sat down crossing her legs as she waited for Ben to return from what he was doing.

Not much after, Ben returns."Hi. Sorry if I took too long to return." He says as he stands close to where Sylvana is sitting. One hand behind his back and the other lying inside his pocket. The mask of Fear until on his face, though."It's really a very silly gift. But I hope you like it." He murmurs.

Sylvana looked up when Ben came back and she gave him a smile standing up. "I am sure it is lovely and not at all silly" She said with a soft laugh. Her eyes darted to the two behind the counter as if daring them to say something before they return to Ben once more. "Come on....let me see it."

The two attendants behind the counter are, indeed, staring at Ben and Sylvana. And more than that, they're looking surprise with whatever the man is holding behind his back. Their expressions are of pure disbelief.

"Please tell Ink this is a friendship gift and nothing else." He murmurs as he offers the gift to the girl. To their audience's horror, the big and intimidating man offers the girl a yellow rose. But to the Eyes, it's far from just yellow. It's yellow first, then orange, then red, then brown and, from that, back to yellow. And on and on and on.

Sylvana's eyes brighten and she smiled a sweet laugh slipping from her lips as she took the rose and studied it. "Oh Ben its beautiful! Thank you so very much! I have been needing just something like this to put on our table at home. Something to brighten the cabin up." She bounced on the balls of her feet for a moment and then wrapped him in a hug and stood on her tippy toes giving him a soft kiss on the cheek. "You did very well and its not silly at all. I will give Ink your message but I know he will not be at all upset. He knows who holds my heart." Yup...she said it and infront of the two nosey women. Perhaps thats why she said it and just ever so slightly louder then the rest to make sure they heard her.

Ben freezes when he's hugged. The man slightly tenses up and flushes. His hand goes to where the kiss was landed slowly."Thanks." He murmurs as his gaze heads to the ground. The big man looks, for the very first time, unsure on what to do next. A very thin and genuine smile lingering on his lips.

On the check-in counter, though, the two attendants do know what to do with that bit of information as their eyes narrow and their mouths shut in thin lines. Like two snakes that are about do something nefarious. Or maybe run and tell all the other staff members about what they just saw.

Sylvana looked to Ben and smiled "If you will excuse me just one moment." She takes the rose in her hand and walked towards the counter leaning on it as she looks between the two attendants. "Did you know that the color of flowers have meanings behind them? Take for enstance this single yellow rose. To some who know very little of the world they would think it a gesture from lovers but they would be incorrect. Long associated with the sun and its life-giving warmth, yellow is the age-old color known for showing warm feelings of friendship and optimism. In many Eastern cultures, the color represents joy, wisdom and power." She looked from the flower to the women once more and smiled. "Just as in some countries and times a hug and a kiss on the cheek were a way for a friend to show gratitude for a gift or even done in greeting. To offer a lady ones arm was considered an act of a gentlmen just as gentlmen make sure to walk on the side that is next to a street so that if something should happen they can shield who they are walking with from any harm. Its also said that one who gossips is simple minded or perhaps just has nothing better to do with their time then speak of things they do not know. But then I am sure you know all of this information since you work in such a fine establishment ran by a very knowledgable and prastigas family yes?"

Ben watches the girl walking to the counter and can't avoid arching both his brows in a deep arch as surprise hits his semblance. He listens all the speech of the girl and looks really impressed by its content. The big man doesn't interrupt, he's too smart to do that. He just waits until she's done and when she does, he's smiling pridely.

The two attendants, on the contrary, freeze on their spots. The younger one stares at his computer screen blankly while the older one just tries his best to hold herself while her gaze runs from Sylvana to Ben all the man as the woman tries to decide who is more frightening of the two. The intimidating boss or the sweet lady.

Sylvana drops her voice to a low whisper as her brow raised slightly. "And should I hear any gossip regarding this gift between friends, I know who to point Ben and my Boyfriend Ink, in the direction of." She said no more on the matter and stood giving them a bright smile before turning and making her way back towards Ben. "It is a lovely place here with such lovely people!"

Ben laughs when Sylvana returns and rejoins him. It's a sincere laugh, but doesn't take live longer on his lips."I told you my family could be mean. I just forgot to mention that staff could do it too. Sorry, miss." He says after a little while as his face reacquires the Fear Mask. A moment later and he glances at the two attendants with that face.

Over there, at the counter, the two attendants, and now even the other woman in high heels, are frozen and praying for their lives deep inside.

Sylvana looked back over her shoulder at the attendants and the woman and give them a bright beautiful smile and a wave of her fingers from the hand that held the flower. "I do hope you have a wonderful evening and holiday weekend!" With that she turns and looked up at Ben. "Shall we take our leave Ben?" Specificly using his name just to get under the blond woman's skin perhaps.

Ben nods and offers his arm to walk the woman away from the prying eyes of the staff."You keep impressing me, miss. And now I know exactly why I like your company. You're fierce and corageous. That's a good thing. A very good thing." He says.

Sylvana slipped her arm into his and followed him out as if nothing in the world was wrong. Because to her it wasnt. She looked up to him tilting her head some. "Sometimes you have to be Fierce and Corageius in this world but it does not mean that you have to be cruel or mean." She smiled up to him and gave a little shrug of her shoulders. "Being sure of yourself tends to have an effect on people and they know that your not a pushover like they might think just by looking at you."

Ben walks Sylvana back to the outside of the Hotel, to where his car was still parked. To all her worlds, he nods in agreement."I agree with you. But I must warn you when you deal with others like Ink and I. Some of us are unstable and will not that your fierce words lightly like those women just did. And that will be a problem because they'll have to deal with Ink. And me."

Sylvana nods as she looked up at him. "I understand. I do not tend to get that way unless I really have to. I know when to keep my tongue to myself"

Ben nods to that sagely as he stops at his car."Do you want to go somewhere else? Or maybe I can take you home." He offers glancing at the girl by his side."Sunday is my day off, you know."
