Overview

Things are strange for Boyd these days, very strange. It was only a little over a week that he was gone by mortal reckoning. It was a year and a day by his own that he toiled in the darkness of the Librarian's realm. But that year was enough to fill his nightmares for years to come with things that scuttled, slithered and crawled their way through those stygian stacks. Now, upon returning to the world, he's faced with a whole new set of facts that he was never aware of. It's jarring, to say the least.

In the days before things got Wyrd, Boyd was known for a few things in his own small-town way. An author of horror tails on Reddit, a podcaster and a fencer as well as a game nerd, his reputation as being slightly weird was very well established. He dresses well and typically acts with perfect comportment. It's only when confronted with something that might not be the wisest decision to make that he'll dig in his heels and show the perverse imp of his own bull-headedness. It's going to get him in trouble one of these days...

RP Hooks

  • Podcaster - Boyd has made somewhat of a name for himself (Fame 2) for being the creator and host of the Weird in the Northeast podcast. It takes a look at the generally creepy side of life, from folklore to reports of hauntings throughout New England.
  • Fencer - He's taken home a couple of prizes for fencing. He's not a prodigy by any means, but he has some real talent.
  • Changeling - He is fresh-tumbled from the Hedge, and has a whole lot of learning to do.

Soundtrack

S.J. Tucker - Ravens in the Library

Words within our grasp,
Do we let go?
Do we fly heavily with the weight
Of what we know?

S.J. Tucker - Were-Owl

Why, why, why set your sights on'
The night he spreads his wings to hold you,
Shows you all his heart
And bids you fly?

Voltaire - Riding a Black Unicorn

A darkness falls over the land,
Enslaves with a wave of its hand.
And I try to see the light though the disease.
