WR04 - West Bank - River Road

The low rush of water over stone provides a constant background sigh of sound as the river flows nearby, never more than ten yards from the slightly elevated dirt-pack road. A number of small homes have been built up along the landward side, those nearest the road built up on low stilts to avoid the risk of floods. Those built farther into the hill seem more traditional, family homes, though few have more than two cars in evidence.

Trees rise occasionally by the graded roadside, shading the verge. Slightly higher than other bends, both bridges can be seen in the distance, the north's old-fashioned wood competing with the south's more modern construction.
