       X is trying to find his place as a creature of two worlds. Engineer by day, mad scientist by night, the harder he clings to both worlds, the more everything slips between his fingers.

• Undercover Nerd - X tries to hide his nerdness. Especially at work, where he doesn't want to find himself talking about his plethora of characters and their ph4t l00tz. He might wear the right clothes and spend more on his hair than he would ever admit, but that can't hide his interests, and no amount of style can hide his ridiculous laugh.
• Fame 3: Inventor - In the Hedge, X isn't just a letter. X is the name of an inventor who has created wonderful things heard of throughout the Hedge and in the circles it touches. A few examples are the Twhirling Tigerlily Train of 2020, the Bit Bridle, and the Snardsbark. However, what exactly those devices do is not nearly as known as their names.
• Need for Speed - Ever had someone fly by you on the road at double your speed even though you're speeding? That might have been X. Whether it was in his car or on his bike, the guy drives like the devil is chasing him. He also has some interesting tastes in vehicles, preferring souped up engines over top lines that are built to perform.
