Ninth Spectrum Paintball

Overview

Ninth Spectrum Paintball is a place where people play paintball!

I'll add more to this later.

 

A place like this requires a lot of upkeep! Here are a few of the positions you could fill in it.

    - Guides/Companions
    - Retail/rentals
    - Instructors
    - Landscapers
    - Janitors
    - Caterers

Guide/Companion

Do you like paintball? Want to help out n00bs and get them comfortable with it? You'd spend most of your time at the training area or out on the ranges.

Retail/Rentals

Someone's got to handle the cash registers, and that someone is you. Employees in this position help out in the nice, safe, dry interior of the rental building, selling the hundreds of colours of paintballs to customers and selling/renting out guns, melee weaponry and other assorted gear to guests. The bathrooms are in the back. So's the employee break room.

Instructors

Know how to hit stuff? Know how to shoot well, and have the patience of a saint? Lots of fun anecdotes to make nervous first-timers laugh? This job may be for you. You'd spend most of your time showing guests how to use their weapons, and running them through the basics out on the shooting range. Your job would be to keep people comfortable and educate them on gun safety at the same time.

Landscapers

The grounds don't stay that clean without effort. You would be in charge of the upkeep of the plantlife and landscapes for the various ranges. Your job would be part gardener, part construction worker, part set designer. You would be the one in charge of cleaning up if kids spray-painted anything they shouldn't have while staff wasn't looking.

Janitor

You keep the rental area clean, and restock the toilet paper, towels, vending machines, etc. You're part cleaning lady, part handyman. Pretty easy job, often done at night or in the early, early morning, before the park opens.

Caterer

These often have their own businesses, and have NSP as a customer. There are no kitchens on site. All food is brought in from the outside, mostly things which guests can easily pocket to finish later. Sandwiches, cookies, snack packs, etc.

 

Owner: November		The rainbow has a very capable manager, and isn't always at the park, but she keeps it firmly under her control. Everything is organized and tracked and logged, and employees' schedules are shuffled with consequent ease. If someone can't come in to do something, very often, November will simply pick up the shift herself.

Not sure what sorts of themes you should include in your set poses? No worries. Here are a handful of samples so you can get an idea of what would be typical. As a general rule, there is a change in A) lighting, B) flatscreen 'windows', C) simple decorations easily removed, since this has to be swapped out every morning, and D) the costumes of the paid dancers. They are always dressed to match the theme.

English Garden

Lighting: bright, white-gold, mimicking a sunny day.
'Window' Views: a bright and sunny English garden full of lush roses and greenery, little birds occasionally flying about.
Decorations: draperies and swags of cream, shades of rose, and shades of green.
Costumes: suits and old-fashioned empire waist dresses such as you might see in Pride and Prejudice. White dresses with coloured accents. Time period isn't too strictly kept, just general theme. Men in darker suits and paler pants.
Dances: nothing Latin. Waltz, foxtrot, Viennese waltz, quadrille.

Spooky Castle Garden

Lighting: low lights, spooky ambiance, purples and greens and moonlight imitations
'Window' Views: a moon-silvered garden with creepy gargoyles on a castle in the distance, creepy people walking through the garden from window to window
Decorations: spiderwebs, greys, dark colours, realistic swags of artificial greenery
Costumes: think Halloween without the miniskirts and without "sexy" in front of every word. ;) Dressing up as supernatural creatures or old-timey ladies, etc.
Dances: any dance! Music is typically modern and done via DJ unless there are live performance covers of existing songs.

Heaven

Lighting: ethereal whites and pale blues
'Window' Views: a view of perfect, fleecy white clouds and open skies, the occasional nimbus of golden light flitting by
Decorations: sheer fabrics, delicate, in whites and pale celestial blues
Costumes: innocent, white, modest, with celestial blue accents.
Dances: mostly more modest pieces with the occasional modesty-flouting Latin number to spice it up.

Hell

Lighting: fiery golds and oranges with red accents
'Window' Views: the world inside of a volcano, with creepy leering monsters and spikes and generally terrifying figures chasing each other, and people, around from window to window
Decorations: fire and smoke, everywhere, but no real fire. Fabric cut to resemble it, designed to ripple like it.
Costumes: 'tattered' long, loose skirts and loose billowy shirts are just as common as skin-tight pants and minis which look like their wearers are going to show the world their everythings.
Dances: heck yeah, baby, this is Hell. Sex it up. Lots of bumping, grinding, dramatic Latin dances, fast-paced and energetic.
