Housing Rental Policy
Like many another game out there, Fate's Harvest has implemented a system of housing rental. It was coded from scratch, so any resemblance to other systems is purely external and likely a result of staff having used said systems in the past elseMU*!
What does this mean for you?
It means you no longer need build jobs, or build anything, to rent an apartment. You can check +housing for an interesting place to live, +travel to it, check +vacancies to see which rooms haven't been taken yet, and +rent them when you find one that you like. A rented room will automatically be set as your home.
See the +help rent helpfile in game for more command details.
Rental Rules
We've kept the rules simple enough. Follow them and be shiny.
- You may rent only one room at a time.
- You may both rent and own properties.
- Staff is not restricting this. Building another apartment complex isn't a problem if it ends up needed.
- You will be evicted if you do not connect for 30 days.
Important Notes
- A rented room does not go on your Quota. You do not own the object.
- A rented room will automatically be set as your home.
- Your friends may not, however, set the room as THEIR home.
- Anyone in the room when the owner is evicted will be teleported to the OOC room, whether connected or disconnected.
- Any objects in the room when the owner is evicted will be teleported to the rental owner's inventory.
