ER08 - East Bank - Riverside Trail
Hilly and beautiful no matter the season, the trail beside the river is no stranger to photographers. In spring, the river is a raging rush, the trees a pale yellow-green and red fuzz of budding twigs as far as the eye can see, painting the nearby mountainside in tender growth. Summer brings the richer greens of broad leaves and tall grasses, nodding wildflowers caught in the land to either side of the single-car dirt road, while Autumn gilds the grasses and sets trees aflame with vivid scarlets, oranges and golds, the bright yellow of birch and willow scattered near the riverside. Winter's bare branches inscribe their own inscrutable calligraphy upon the pale blue skies.
Meadowlands are visible off to the north, forest receding, with a wood and steel bridge spanning the river. South, the hills continue, ever more densely forested.
