MN05 - Mischance Mine - Tunnel
Continuing deeper into the mountain, the ground here slopes down again to follow a natural cave, slight modifications made by miners to add height to the low ceiling and, in a few places, to broaden a too-narrow path and hammer in supporting timbers. Fluorescent paint marks the start line of some event upon the southern wall mid-way down the tunnel, an arrow pointing deeper down into the earth. Checkered flags, painted nearby in bright orange and blank black stone, resemble those used at race tracks.
