JoiningThis can be a difficult task. Before gaining entrance, a changeling is known as a squire and they're put through tests and trials, first physical then moral. MienThey generally appear physically threatening, and their mien shows streaks of dried blood, their flesh shows scars and at high wyrd, they may leave bloody fingerprints. BackgroundSome Tolltakers come from criminal backgrounds and are truly selfish. Others use it as a way to keep themselves from degenerating. But they're all physical, usually with some sort of combat background. OrganizationThe head of the Tolltakers in an area is known as the Knight Banneret. This is the person who determines what bounties are taken and how payment is divided. Beyond that, most Knights work independently. Local Leader:
PrivilegesBounty's Curse This privilege only works when a Tolltaker is engaged in combat with the target of their bounty and after they spend a Willpower. The target's Defense is halved, and his Initiative modifier is one less. |
