| log = It wasn't too long ago that Morgan said goodbye to Augustus, and said hello to Sorrel. The former knight of Bercilak, stern and judgmental was he, may as well have been dead. The Elemental was born again, and with a new life came newer curiosities. The last Morgan saw the Elemental he was sleeping the afternoon away, but upon returning to their campsite in Sabine finds no sign of Sorrel. No, all she's initially left with is a note that simply reads 'I'll bring him back soon' along with a winky face.

The campsite was as she left it, at least. The tent still up, and bereft of scavengers thanks in part to Beag. The firepit has long since died, and whomever came to take the Elemental away did so without disturbing it. Their supplies are exactly as she left them inside the tent aside from a missing water bottle. His bottle, at that.

Initially, Morgan was filled with something akin to rage. Well, not just akin. It was rage. Do they know how hard she's worked? How long it took her to convince him to let her back into his life? To trust her again? To travel with her again? And then he's just gone? The firepit is scattered; kicked across the campsite. She stands now in the midst of its remains, hands in her hair as she stares off into the woods. She's got her bow in hand and is ready to delve off into the trees. She just needs to recollect herself. Focus. Alright. First things first... find the trail. Track him down. Track //them// down.

Augustus used be a decent tracker in his own right, and how best to cover his trail. Sorrel? Not so much. Even more odd as she follows his trail are that he's left behind shoe prints, and hasn't gone barefoot as he usually does. Thinking back on it, his shoes weren't anywhere to be seen in the tent, but it only now becomes obvious as to why. Alongside those are another pair of shoeprints almost half as small as his. They're not just heading away from the campsite, but leading towards the forest's exit.

The further Morgan follows that trail she finds that it's becomining muddied. Either intentionally and someone's catching on to the trail they left, or is simply passing through the streams for shits and giggles. Further down she goes and the pair of prints lead towards the main hiking trail, and the prints too difficult to tell apart from most others. The path to the north leads back into the forest and exits much further on. However, it also offers the least amount of nature and obstruction back to town. The path leading south is much, much shorter in comparison, but has several hills to pass over and runs the risk of gaining the attention of the bigger wildlife out here.
