Isolde's been home for a couple of hours. A one hour power nap let her keep her energy up, but she didn't really have much else to do other than get up, cook herself dinner and then turn on something to watch. It helps that she can see the TV from the kitchen. But anyone who comes to the door can't. So the sound of screaming and things. Wasn't Halloween over? Was Isolde in trouble?

	Dominic had shown up at her door bearing flowers. He didn't know what sort of flowers he should bring her, and, as he thought about it at her door it seemed less and less appropriate. But, he was the type to stick to his guns. That is, until he hears the sounds of screaming suspiciously-enough like Isolde to cause warrant. A firm rapping against her door rings out. "Hello?" He calls, nervously.

Isolde hears the sound of a voice and there's a quirk of her eyebrow when the firm rapping hits her ears. She settles the spoon down in the bowl where she was whipping p frosting and she heads towards the door. She unlocks it and pulls the door open, "Dominic?" she asks with a smile. She's dressed...not for the outdoors. Cut off jean shorts. Cut off t-shirt and a tied up flannel shirt. "Come on in." she tells him as she steps back and allows him entrance.

	Dominic's brows furrow a moment and he glances inside, looking side to side a moment. "Strange, I thought I heard screaming. Sounded like you were in trouble," he says, before rolling his shoulders. That adreniline would annoy him--Imbalanced the humors. His arm raises, offering the flowers.

Isolde bites her bottom lip and gives him a smile as she closes the door behind him, "I'm catching up on Stranger Things. It's a guilty pleasure. Don't tell anyone." she whispers to him. "I'm not in trouble. Not yet at least." she chuckles. She looks to the flowers and there's a bright smile, "Thank you, they are lovely." she tells him warmly. "I was celebrating my birthday a few days late. Want to help?" she asks him with a mischievous grin.

	"Sounds as good a way to spend the evening as any," Dominic offers with a smile. "I wasn't sure if you even liked receiving flowers, but, I didn't imagine that until I got to your door. So, too late to turn back then," he explains. He smiles a bit and follows after her. "Didn't have any luck on the actual birthday to celebrate?" He asks of her, curious.

"I love flowers of any kind really. I garden in my down time. When I'm not running around with a chicken like my head chopped off." Isolde grins to that as she heads toward the kitchen. "We should get these in water." she tells him. "And my birthday was October thirtieth. I pulled a double." she tells him. "It's not so bad really." she adds. "What brings you out here?" she asks him as she looks to him.

	"Could it be such a mystery?" He asks, raising an eyebrow thoughtfully. He chuckles after a beat. "I enjoy the company. I figured the flowers would give that away," Dominic says quietly. He seems to be without a briefcase today, but, it could just be in the car. Hard to tell.

Isolde gives a softer smile to him as she settles the flowers into a vase of water, "I don't presume things, Dominic." she tells him as she sits it on the counter. Then she turns to lean against it, looking at him, "And I'm a Changeling. A very prominent one in my group. One that might be in a running for a Crown come Spring. You sure you want to get involved with...that?" she asks him. "Not to mention someone seems to be murdering us now." she shakes her head.

	"Oh, I never said that," he offers thoughtfully. "But, wanting something and wanting another are part of our human condition. Presumably, there isn't a way for me to have both. So, I will have to at least pick one I can live with. For now, that means I show up with flowers," he explains. His brows furrow a moment. "You know as well as I do that vitriol runs deep. I don't know why, nor do I imagine it easy to figure out," he says, "At least. I don't have the tools for it. In either case, nothing has reached my office yet regarding a new murder. They might still be piecing the case together--Naturally they won't come to me until they have someone to blame."

Isolde quirks an eyebrow at him, "What do you want right now, Dominic?" she asks him as she straightens and comes around the counter. She leans against the counter and looks to him. "My Court deals with...desires, wants, things of that nature. Tell me what you want." she states. Then there's a shiver, "There's people that are looking into it." she tells him. "But, I'm guessing something will happen soon." she admits.

	"Just make sure the evidence is real enough to convince a jury and I'll do the rest. It won't solve the problem of what I guess we're inappropriately calling racial tension--I don't know that there is a solution. People still get hung up on skin color or which parts which people have in which bathrooms," he says, crossing his arms over his chest a moment. "But, beyond that, at least we can serve justice to someone that probably didn't deserve to be murdered," he says, before rolling his shoulders. "You're not a political enemy or a business rival. You're not someone I feel I need to spend my time studying the motives of, and so I just -do-. I came here because I wanted to come here. I brought flowers because I thought it would be fun and cute. Beyond that, I'm not making any master plan," he explains.

"I don't think we'll need to fake any evidence." Isolde tells him as she looks to him. "And yes, it's...I don't know. I just don't want anyone targeting you I guess is what I'm afraid of." she shakes her head. "I have no want to be political." she tells him. "So. Do you want to help me ice cupcakes or something? Or should I teach you how to make tarts or have you watched Strangers Things?" she asks him.

	"I didn't say you were going to fake evidence," Dominic says a moment. He pauses for a moment and considers Isolde. "I'm not one for usually breaking character and revealing the secrets of my world, but, I'm compelled to even the ground between us a bit, seeing as you cannot hide what you are, to me," he offers quietly. He considers his words carefully a moment, and continues after a few beats of silence. "I didn't say you were going to fake any evidence, but you know as well as I there are means of finding out secrets that step beyond what a Jury will accept as fact. I can't exactly admit into evidence the testimony of an Ancient God that told me who the killer was, no matter how right it may be," he adds.

Isolde shakes her head, "You don't have to reveal anything to me, Dominic. We can take it slow." she tells him with a smile. Then there's a bit of a grin, "Oh...I can." she tells him with a little shimmy of her hips. "But, I don't like walking around with my mask up all the time." she frowns. Then there's a quirk of her eyebrow, "No, they wouldn't. And I wouldn't be inclined to either some days." she teases him softly. "Do you have dealings in the occult, Dominic?" she asks him.

	"Yes," he says, offering a firm nod. "More than most. You don't grow up a little Touched without being able to see your world is a little unreliable at times. Besides, fall into the right Library and books on Law aren't far away from books on theoretical metaphysics of the Occult," he offers.

Isolde gives him a curious look as she reaches up to untie the shirt and straighten it out, "Would you like something to drink? I've got beer, wine, cider. Basically a little of everything." she smiles to that. "I can turn the TV off as well. Have you eaten?" she asks him.

	"I've eaten--Cider will be fine," he assures her, smiling. He did enjoy the Autumn. "And if you wish to watch the TV there is nothing that should stop you. I've come by for the company, not to disrupt your night. It sounds like you had decent plans," he says.

"Cider is a good choice." Isolde tells him as she turns to head for the fridge. It's opened and two glass bottles are pulled from the shelf. "Well, I was making cupcakes for my nieces party. You could help me ice them while we watch. Deal?" she asks him as she hands him a bottle. Then she settles herself down on a high backed barstool again and picks up an icing knife, "It won't hurt." she grins wickedly.

	"I suspect if it hurt, we wouldn't be making cupcakes the right way," he says quietly, before settling onto a stool beside her and looking over the spread of things she was working on, regarding the cupcakes. "Playing the role of the cool, cupcake-bringing Aunt, are we?" He asks.

"Or someone's licking the icing off way too hard." Isolde tells him with a twinkle in her eye. "And, the child is not really my niece, just, someone I care dearly for. I'm going to drop these off at her party tomorrow before my shift for her mom. She loves my cupcakes. If I ever quit being a Doctor I'll just live on being a pastry chef." she muses.

	"Usually I wait for the icing to be on things more fun than knives before I go licking at them. Like cakes," he says, pausing a moment in thought. "Knives are just too dangerous. Though, are you the sort to use sharp, sharp knives to ice cupcakes? I've never cut my tongue on a butter knife," he adds.

Isolde just looks at him and there's a shake of her head, "I was in now way thinking of the icing still being on the knife while I was licking it off." she tells him. "And I'm not a savage or a novice. I use icing knives and piping bags." she tells him.

	"Hey, when someone says hurt, I think being cut," he says, considering it for a moment. After a moment, he chuckles again. "I didn't expect you to be a novice, no. Is there anything you aren't talented at?" He asks, curiously.

"There's a lot of ways of being hurt, Dominic." Isolde tells him with a soft chuckle. "And believe me. I'd never stab you. I can't really stab that well. See. One thing I'm horrible at." she smiles proudly at that. "And I'm good with creating things. I like baking, gardening, growing. All that jazz." she admits.

	"I know a thing or two about being hurt--But, I tend to spend my time on endeavors that are a little more about recovering from those sorts of things, rather than embracing the causing of them. When I'm not playing the Lawyer, I spend my time reading books about Chemistry," he offers to her.

Isolde is very meticulous about the icing she puts on the already cooled cupcakes. Things are precise. It's easy to see why she's a surgeon. "Well...if you are hurt you should just come to me so I can heal you." she states to him. It almost casual. Like it's that easy. "Why the interest in chemistry?" she asks him with a smile.
