==Joining==
Primarily a recruit has to prove their worthiness to the Barony. They have to demonstrate competence in negotiation and intimidation, and be able to gain service or allegiance of a hob. There is no apprenticeship, instead prospects must gain competency on their own. When they feel confident, they seek out a Baron and if the meet the qualifications, they're welcomed in.

==Mien==
The mien changes ensure that whatever they wear is decorated with knot-work patterns that resembled a stylized version of the Hedge. At higher Wyrd, some Barons start to resemble hobgoblins. 

==Background==
They tend to be physically competent and either charismatic or intimidating. Two primary types of people join the barony; changelings fascinated by hobgoblins and those who distrust them.

==Organization==
The organization is loose. All but the oldest/most experienced Barons are of equal rank. The eldest are known as elders. To become an Elder, they must have been a Baron for 30+ years and be accepted by the other elders. 

===Privileges===
Barons receive a +2 bonus to all Intimidation and Persuasion rolls against any form of hobgoblin or Hedge denizen. They also get +1 to Defense against these beings, and +1 to navigating the Hedge.
