WW07 - Wilderness - Mill Road - Phil's Hill
A hand-carved wooden sign, chunky and abrupt, announces that the land north of the road is Phil's Hill, complete with a hopefully humourous tacked on addition that trespassers will be shot and mounted on the wall as hunting trophies.
The Hill, a somewhat tacky, kitschy series of small hunting lodges, is very popular when deer season comes around, and often the site of drunken escapades worthy of town legends, the wooden construction strong, but not always strong enough for the owner's version of entertainment. When seen out and about on the property, Phil is a large, ham-handed fellow, blustery and rough, more clever than he seems.
The other side of the road is mostly vacant wilderness, though trails carved by dirtbikes aren't uncommon.
