The pledges below have been written by staff for players to use or alter as they see fit. The CtL core book has an entire chapter full of example pledges, itself. Staff recommends reading them! They're very spiffy.

Day Pledges

The pledges below are designed to be spoken on the fly. They are quick promises, little boosts. Day pledges do NOT require staff attention.

Non-Aggression

Stay Out Of Each Other's Way Type: Vow Duration: 1 day (+1) Tasks: Alliance, Lesser (-1): Don't do anything to harm each other or those associated with each other, today. Boons: Adroitness (+1): each chooses a skill. Sanctions: Poisoning the Boon (-1): Poison the adroitness, gaining -1 on rolls associated with the chosen skill instead. Text: Hey, neither of us want to hurt the other. Let's promise not to do that for the day, 'kay? You don't do anything to harm me or mine, I don't do anything to harm you or yours, we both get bennies, and if we *bleep* it up, we get 'em tossed back in our faces. Work for you? Cost: 1 Willpower point (only one person needs to +spend willpower)

I Won't Bother You Type: Oath, One-Sided Duration: 1 day (+1) Tasks: Endeavor, Lesser (-1): I'll avoid anything I know you're involved in today. Boons: Blessing, Lesser (+1): Trained Memory 1 Sanctions: Curse, Lesser (-1): /weak on all rolls (no 10-again) Text: Sorry, man. Really sorry. I'll give you my word on it -- I won't go anywhere near any stuff I know you've got your hands in, today. If I do, well, *bleep* luck's on me tomorrow, yeah? Cost: 1 Willpower point, spent by the Changeling swearing the oath. Witness pays nothing.

Combat Boost

Let's Pump It Up! Type: Vow Duration: 1 day (+1) Tasks: Alliance, Medial (-2): We'll help each other out today, even if it means some pain. Boons: Blessing, Medial (+2): Iron Skin ** Sanctions: Curse, Lesser (-1): /weak on all rolls (no 10-again) Text: Yo! You ready for the fight today? Gotta be the very best to beat Team Blue. I've got your back. What do you say we pledge on it? You watch my back, I watch yours, take a few hits for each other if we need to. Get the Wyrd to give us a little somethin' somethin', eh? Eh? Yeah, I know you know what I mean. Either of us flakes off on it, the world takes a dump on us. Deal? Cost: 1 Willpower point (only one person needs to +spend willpower)

Social Boost

Give A Little, Get A Little Type: Vow Duration: 1 day (+1) Tasks: Alliance, Medial (-2): Help each other out, and take some risks if need be to do so. Player 1: Endeavor, Lesser (-1): Get Player 2 an invite to Popular Girl Jackie's party. Player 2: Forbiddance, Lesser (-1): Don't mention the fact that Player 1 secretly crop-dusted a senator while at the last party. Boons: Adroitness, Greater (+3): each chooses an attribute. Sanctions: Poisoning the Boon, Greater (-3): Poison the adroitness, gaining -1 on all rolls associated with the chosen attribute instead. Text: Player 1: Hey, 2. If you get me an invite to Popular Girl Jackie's party today, I promise not to tell anyone there that you crop-dusted Senator Milbury at the last one. Player 2: ...Okay. But we help each other out, alright? Let's see if we can't get some dates out of this thing. Just for a day, though. You're kind of a dork. Cost: 1 Willpower point (only one person needs to +spend willpower)
