Overview
Mia is the restrained and responsible sister of the Garreau twins. Being the only one ever in town, it's easy to miss how the sisters otherwise would have balanced one another out.
While she is an adept performer in her own right, she eschews the spotlight entirely in favor of promoting other local performers in monthly variety presentations, summer children's performance education camp, and Shakespeare in the Park Yard throughout the summer with an accompanying festival. It is typical to find her building props, stitching up costumes, repairing wigs, or hanging from the scaffolding painting part of a set into the wee hours of morning before a performance to help equip those who may not necessarily have the resources they need to make their act all it could be.
She's an inspiring sort, eager to promote local artists with immediate and practical aid, hands-on. While she may help out with cash from time to time, she doesn't just toss someone some funding and call it a day: she makes it her mission to give any local performer whatever help she can, from calming stage fright to covering the repair or maintenance of instruments or other essentials. The theater itself is not, necessarily, what one would consider a success as a theater. The performers it hosts, on the other hand, are provided the best chance for success she can provide for them as a patron, whether the end result is going to draw a crowd or not.
RP Hooks
- The 'Good' Twin - Mia has a twin sister (NPC), Kiki. Kiki is a wild child, and seems to bounce around between cults overseas these days, chasing the latest high or something shiny. Mia balances that out, and then some. She is almost uncomfortably responsible, is fairly reserved despite her general charm and good temperament, and has a habit of dressing more like a nun than a normal person. If asked why she always wears black, she'll tell you her sister soaked up all the colorful for the two of them.
- Theater - She owns a small local theater with her sister. Since Kiki is nowhere to be found almost ever, she's left with the responsibility for the entire thing. She enjoys fostering and showcasing local talent. Despite having learned modern dance (the more acrobatic form of ballet) in her youth, and being rather good at it currently, she refuses to take to the stage herself.
- Garreau - Something exploded? Why are you all screaming? Calm down, let me get that glass out of your hair before you cut yourself. What do you mean it's weird that I'm not freaking out? Please, I work in theater! This is nothing compared to the kind of explosions that try my nerves!
- Psychic - Yes. Not that she talks about it. She does seem to have a way of knowing if someone is up to mischief, and has been known to be a soothing and encouraging presence in the case of extreme stage fright.
