"Hellll-lo Fort Brunsett. This is Her Royal Majesty Amanda Green coming to you over this lunch break with New Music Friday. Are we all excited? I am excited," Green says, in her delightfully English accent. "Did we all enjoy this... holiday week? Did you blow anything up? Someone in my neighborhood did. Possibly themselves, their house, and all the forest around it, from the size of that boom..." A faint sigh. "My poor cat. And, well, if fretting over my cat is unpatriotic..." Green trails off.

"Enough of that," Green continues, after a moment. "Today is admittedly not a good week for new music. Releasing on a holiday week is never well advised. So, we're a bit slower today. A bit quieter. But let's see if we can't start with a bit of energy. This is Zedd with his new song, Get Low."

"That feels like summer, if you ask me..." Green's voice comes back, and then goes quiet once more. A moment later, she continues. "Anyone have any big summer plans? Feel free to call in, let me know! And of course, anyone can call in to speak to me, here at the WFBR studio. Just to chat, if you'd like, or maybe you've got a new release I don't know about? ... Here's Calvin Harris with Hard to Love."

"That was Hard to Love by Calvin Harris, brought to you over the airwaves by me, Her Royal Majesty Amanda Green, live at the WFBR studios. Anyone know anyone else out that there's Hard to Love...? And so very difficult to leave? Perhaps that should be your exciting plans for the summer. Find that special person and figure out how to get through. Figure out how to love them. Make them yours... Make it the summer of love! ... I know it's my plan. Or maybe not. Here's Gabriel Black's Sad Boy."

"Now, then. On my way into the studio today I stopped at a local shop. Homepage bookstore, where I visited my dear friend Kip. Beyond being nice to look at, Kip is a delight to speak with, and his ideas tickle me. His latest features a small charity drive, selling buttons. Two baskets to choose from. The buttons in one contain the letter 'E', clipped from magazines and papers, and the other, the number 'Six'. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, well... Just ask around. Anyone want to guess which button I bought? ... Kip, if you are tuned in, this one is just for you. This is Joywave with Going to a Place."

"Federal regulation demands I tell you all... that I am Amanda Green, and you are listening to WFBR. I am live at the studio presenting to you New Music Fridays. Please feel free to call in, just to chat, or to request new music you know about, that I don't. Speaking of things I do not know about, or did not know about, before yesterday... This is an indie band from Toronto called Good Kid. This is Witches."

"We're just so up beat and happy today, aren't we?... No? Is Summer actually a time for longing?" Green asks. There's a pause, and when she speaks again, it's so easy to hear the smile in her voice. "Speaking of longing... I mentioned Number Six on air, and I've not heard from the man! How is this possible?" Green asks. "What gives, Six? Are you not listening? Or is your crush on Enid too distracting?" she asks. "Surely you can stalk and harass two journalists at the same time..." There's another pause before Green continues. "Another new one from Haim's latest album. Here's Want You Back."

"Let's keep it low tempo. Rhye is a duo based in LA, that consists of a Canadian named Milosh, and a Dane named Robin Hannibal. This is Please."

"That was beautiful," Amanda Green says, over the airwaves. "Makes me want to go lay out in the grass and stare at the stares. That's what warm summer nights are for, aren't they?... Well, if the clouds clear up tonight, the moon is still almost full. Might be a bit hard to see those stars." Green then pauses. "So! Let's not have everyone drifting off to sleep, in the middle of the day. Let's get a little more energy back. This is Jennifer Lopez - yes, I just said that - and Gente de Zona with Ni Tú Ni Yo."

"Speak of the devil, and he shall call in..." Green says, after that J.Lo song ends. There's a quiet moment, then a voice comes on, clearly ran through a distorter.

<CALLER>: "All I am doing is providing an alternative perspective to the mainstream media. Since when did my right to free speech become a crime? I am not blocking nor preventing Enid Schmitt from writing, I'm just challenging the nature and content of what she writes," comes the recorded words of that strange vocally masked man.

"I'll add," Amanda Green says, as she's back on the microphone. "He pointed out that he is not stalking me, and would not. Well. What if I want to meet you, Number Six? Maybe I just want a date with you. We could talk about which first amendment speech is acceptable and which isn't..." Another pause, and then, "This is Cage the Elephant doing an unpeeled version of Whole Wide World."

"That was a little upbeat, hm?" Green asks, as she comes back onto the air. "And so we'll keep that going for a moment. Well. By tempo, at least. Lyrically, it would seem we're all destined to spend this weekend in angst. Here's Cash Cash, All My Love."

"Cash Cash is a favorite of mine. I absolutely adore them. But this next one, well... It always gave me chills. The original version. Let's see if Passenger can do justice to the Stones. Here's their cover of Angie."

"Thank you, Fort Brunsett, and thank you, Tamarack Falls, for lending me your ears. Thank you, Radio Fort Brunsett, for lending me all your beautiful equipment. Before I sign off, I'll encourage you all... Find that person you want. Find them, grab them, and never let them go. Make this summer last forever, whatever it costs... This has been Amanda Green, broadcasting New Music Friday for WFBR. And this, this is Weezer, and their acoustic rendition of Feels like Summer."
