The previous DJ signs out, the mic cuts over, and in a moment there's a rather lovely English-accented voice over the airwaves. "Good day Fort Brunsett... It's time for New Music Friday," says the woman, who seems pleased as punch to be broadcasting today. "I am your host, Her Royal Majesty, Amanda Green and I am here to bring you the newest music of the summer," she says.

"As ever, you can feel free to call in to the WFBR studio. Request some new music. Chat me up. Spread the latest gossip. Tell me what you think about numbah six," that said in a bad Boston accent, "and his beef with the lovely Enid Schmitt. Promise I'm unbiased!" says Green, with a little laugh.

"Well then, enough talk. Lets get to it. Last week, I gave some sad and slow. It resonated with at least a few of you. I had claims that emotions were felt. This week... for better or worse, we'll have a bit of the same." Green pauses, then continues. "Let's start off with Lana Del Ray, featuring ASAP Rocky. This is... Summer Bummer." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWVLtkCZS58

"Mezermizing. I do love Lana Del Rey... and ASAP Rocky stole my heart when he collabed with Rod Stewart..." Green pauses. "Once again, this is Amanda Green, broadcasting on WFBR radio. And I've been on for how long, and already had a caller!"

Green's voice cuts out, and another voice comes in. "6 is in the right here, Enid sticks her nose into too many things, like way too much. Or whatever..."

And Green's voice once more, "What would you say if I challenged that with... it's her right to publish as she wishes? And that so long as the people are buying papers, she ought to continue?"

The caller's voice continues. "Her right to Free Speech ends where someone else's Right to Privacy begins. Or Whatever. Like. Just because something can be sold for a profit doesn't make it moral. You're basically ok with heroin if you're using that line of thought - as long as people are buying it, it's ok."

And Green's voice is back. "Well then. We've a moral obligation to help one another, and protect one another's privacy. Audience? What do you think...?" she asks. There's a pause, then she continues. "Let's hear from Galantis while we think on that, yeah? Here's True Feeling." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U7JSVY7grg

"I love Galantis. And I love this town. You all care so much!... I had a repeat caller, whose name I can't quite remember. She had a message for the people of Fort Brunsett..."

A woman with a thick Russian accent speaks. "Hello. This fight, it is funny. Littering is not. Do not make the city mess with flyers... I will offer other option to litter. I will build small boxes, little free libraries they are called, at cost. Very popular I am told. People will want to have them in yards and by businesses. Stick the love letters in those."

"How about it, numbah six? Care to start your own alternative media distribution solution?" Green asks, as she returns to the air. "If anyone else is willing to, please contact the Miller Mill. Fresh, local wood, at cost! You can't beat that... Here's a new one, from One Republic and Seeb. This is Rich Love." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ6hAQjW9Aw

"This is Amanda Green, broadcasting on WFBR, Fort Brunsett Radio. I am with you all today to bring you New Music Friday... which is also rapidly becoming Public Forum Friday. I've no problem with that. I love hearing from you all. All but the toxic types that are still wondering why women are allowed on the air..." Green trails off for a moment... I had an interesting caller. One that supports Ms. Schmitt's efforts... This is what Ms. Helah Morgenstern had to say..."

In a soft female voice with no discernible accent which, it may be noted by anyone who has heard the real Helah, is NOT Helah's voice... "I support Ms. Schmitt. Shame is a valuable social implement, and I invite all who feel themselves unjustly persecuted to examine their lives for the source of their shame. Which decisions could they have made better to avoid their current pain? Self-improvement should be the goal of all. I feel that Ms. Schmitt performs a public service and should be lauded, not decried."

"What do you all think of that?" Amanda Green asks. There's a pause. "Let's see hear from Vic Mensa, and Pharrel. This is Wings." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qP5MVEYBop4

"Now, I had a call, requesting a certain song... a song that's a touch older than I would normally play. But I'd be lying if I said the caller didn't have one of the most lovely voices I ever heard. This is clearly a woman worth breaking the rules for..." Green pauses. The grin she wears is heard in her voice. "This is for a certain someone that needs a little reminder of what he's got to lose. Here's Oh Wonder by Heavy." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8RmfDg45SE

"What would a New Music Friday be without a call from Numbah Six himself?" Green asks, as she comes back on the air. "The man himself has called in defend his fliers - they are not litter, you see! And if they blow about, perhaps the alligators in the sewers will get a chance to read them..." A pause. "I added that bit."

The same disguised voice that everyone knows comes on the line. "It's good to hear the people have spoken. I stand by my flyers. They got at least one person to pay attention, didn't they? You can't put everything into neat little sancitioned boxes, wouldn't you agree? As for Enid, it was never about the right to privacy. It's about standing up to a bully who is careless about her words and profits off the suffering of the people."

"Well there you have it," Amanda Green says, as she returns to the airwaves. "From the man himself. Hmmm... I bet he's the type to throw cigarette butts on the ground... From an amazing talent who dealt with one particular bully for years and years and years... Here's a new one from Kesha. This is called Woman." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXyA4MXKIKo

"Speaking of sorry-not-sorry... Sorry. But not sorry. Here's the latest from Kid Rock, called Po-Dunk... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KnAzpi4avo"

"This is Amanda Green at the WFBR studio. I am not sorry. But... How about a palate cleanse after that one? This is new from a man that we've all heard of, to say the least. Is this one relevant to our little little discussion...? This is My Mind Is For Sale, but Jack Johnson." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3REipDpxNQ

"Gal Tuesday called in... she wanted to say a few things, and how could I not give her a few moments of your times?" Green asks, before she pauses, and the line switches over.

The accent is decidedly local Vermont. "It's a weak little man who threatens a women's livelihood in an attempt to snuff out her opinion. So while I have nothing but disapproval for what that Six has to say, I will defend to the death his right to say it. Besides; if he wants to play the fool? The rest of us can stand back and have a laugh!" And she does: loudly. "Enid: keep up the good fight, stay golden, never change, you got a loyal reader. That Six may as well be workin' on Madison Avenue - everyone's talkin'! There is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about. Good on ya, Six - you're doing a /great/ job there, buddy!"

"Thank you for call in, Tuesday," Green says, as she comes back on air. "I asked dear Tuesday what she wanted to hear. She said... a banger. So, Tuesday, I give you Mayores by Becky G." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMFewiplIbw

"That was the beautiful Becky G, with Mayores," Green says. "Hope you all enjoyed it. I did. A little reggaeton does wonder for the soul. And the hips... well. Since we've picked things up, let's keep that energy going. This is Save A Little Love by Don Diablo... Won't you all save a little love for me?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4LphhTa_xg

"Well, Fort Brunsett. We're about out of time. Once again, this is Her Royal Majesty, Amanda Green, bringing you New Music Friday on behalf of WFBR, Fort Brunsett Radio. Thank you all for lending me your ears. Thank you, WFBR, for lending me your airwaves. And double thanks to you all for giving a fudge about what happens in your beautiful city..." Green pauses, then clears her throat. "And now, to play us out... what I know you all were waiting for... Here's the latest from Nine Inch Nails... I give you Less Than." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDV-dOvqKzQ
