Cassian and Rozalia

2017.08.30

Cassian invites Roz out for the night. Because he needs to practice and he needs a distraction.

Location

A club out of town.

It was a little later than usual. It had been some time since Cassian had gone into town, and he needed to exercise some particular demons. He wasn't sure if Roz would have recieved his note--Or come out, if she had, but it had been left for her. Rather than prey upon those a little closer to home, Cassian returned to the same place he had met Roz. There, in a dark corner, he watched the others quietly, looking through the drunks and the inebriated for signs that they were less than vigilant in paying attention.

If Cassian needed to go out and he wanted her to come then she'd be there. It's probably the sudden arrival of one Rozalia that sends some of the nearby people into quick conversations and movement towards the door. She's dressed in a black velvet halter top that is covered by the gypsy style silver necklace she wears around her throat. The skirt is red with black velvet rose designs. Her hair is a gorgeous shade of purple. Bright and striking against her pale skin. Her eyes are searching the crowd while she greets people that move towards her. Looking for Cassian obviously.

When she had finally arrived, Cassian had felt it nearly immediately. The murmurs from the crowd didn't seem to hurt it, either. He smirked a bit when his eyes finally slipped across her form. He adored her. In either case, he relaxes in the booth and watches her search him out.

The thing with your other half being very high in Wyrd is that they tend to stick out. Roz greets a few of the regulars and then there's another look and she spots Cassian. Her smile brightens and she excuses herself to head towards the Darkling. She's glowing a bit and it's not just her eyes. When she gets to him there's a look over him before she looks to his eyes, "Thanks for the note." she murmurs to him.

"Tough crowd tonight," Cassian says, smiling her way. "You're looking particularly bright tonight. Decide on a change?" He asks quietly, as he glances her over. Part of him didn't care any longer about what he came here for. She was distracting, like that. "What's better than a night out? One with you," he adds.

Roz gives him a soft smile as she steps closer to him, "Tough crowd? Did they not greet you so warmly?" she asks him as she looks to him. "I don't mind going out with you." she grins at him. "So, did you want to dance or something?" she asks him with a smile. "I guess I should have prefaced that with do you know how to dance?" she adds.

"I definitely didn't get the same welcome," he says, smirking. He digs in his jacket a moment and pulls out a small clip. Money, and a few betting cards--Not the completely legal sort. It's held against his chest a bit. "Something has the crowd riled up. Seems there's a Thief about," he explains. In another moment it slips away, into the jacket.

"Well you aren't half dressed and don't dance here." Roz tells him in a teasing tone and then she winks. Then there's a look to his hand as he pulls out the money clip and things. Her eyebrow quirks at him and there's a soft chuckle as she leans in to kiss his cheek, "Did you need a distraction?" she whispers before pulling back a bit. Looking to his eyes to see his answer.

"I wasn't sure if you wanted to be complicent in such activities--Could be dangerous," he says, returning her wink a moment. "But at the same time, there's nothing better to keep people from wondering why someone bumped into them than a pretty dancer to look at," he suggests.

Roz's glowing eyes give a rueful look for a moment. Then she shakes her head, "I've not pickpocketed anyone. So I'll leave it to you." she tells him. "Just don't try it on anyone that will take us out back and kill us both." she muses to him. Then she offers him her hand, "Shall we?" she smiles sweetly.

Cassian grins a bit. "It's easier than you might think," he offers, as he reaches for her hand. "I wouldn't want to ruin your reputation," he says, "There's some decent sport here. Turns out this place is a front for gambling I didn't know about. Need to put any money on anything?" He jokes.

Roz gives him a look and there's a bit of a smile, "You're going to teach me?" she gives a quirk of her eyebrow. Then she gives his hand a little squeeze, "Just how fast a Vampire is going to eat us if we get caught." she muses softly to him as they head in the direction of the more crowded areas.

"Vampires?" Cassian whispers thoughtfully. "I didn't realize there were any around here. Deal much with them?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. It concerned him a little bit--Certainly they may be able to find their objects a bit more easily than random rubes. "Well, I guess we have to be a step ahead of them, don't we?" He affirms.

Roz turns to him once she's settled on a spot and there's a smile to him, "I'm a Lady Sage, so yes, I do." she tells him. "Vampires and Werewolves are my specialties." she tells him softly. "And it's rumored that one hangs about here. I've not met them, nor do I want to with their reputation." she chuckles as she runs her fingers over his shoulder. "So you'll keep your mind on task and I'll watch for non-breathers." she winks at him.

"I can't tell any difference in them. To me they all feel ..." He pauses a moment at the words. He wanted to say food, but, well. In a conversation about Vampires he wondered if it was important to create a distinction between hisself and them. "Well. They all feel the same," he says.

"You have some resemblance to them, but not in a bad way, Cass." Roz tells him as she looks to him. Sometimes her words were well thought out so she wouldn't upset him. "I'm sure if you ever wanted to meet one we could set it up, but I tend to not mix business with my personal life." she chuckles as she moves slowly to the sound of the music.

"I'm not entirely sure we would get along," he says, considering that for a moment. "Though, I suppose that does offer it's own set of business possibilities," he muses thoughtfully. He was distracted by the thought a moment, before he shakes his head and glances back to her. "I wouldn't worry about it. No sport in risking yourself over it," he says.

"We'll talk about it at another time." Roz tells him with a soft smile. "And yes, there are business opportunities there for you." she muses as she starts to lead him in a dance. One that would be perfect for quick wallet taking work. "I doubt seriously I'd be at risk, darling." she shakes her head.

Cassian doesn't seem entirely eager to do business while dancing with Roz. Or, so it seems. He was pretty sly and easily capable of avoiding detection as they drift nearby others. "In either case, I mean only that our kind of dangerous may not mesh well with their kind. You would know better than me," he offers her. His hands seem to stay on her body as they dance. Except in quick movements that seem a bit suspicious. At least to someone close.

Roz gives him a curious look as he doesn't seem to be eager to do his business. She then forgets about it and gives him a smile, "We would never know, really." she chuckles. "I just know that one has a real big appetite and one gets angry and turns into a fuzzy murder machine." she teases him softly.

And as the pair dances, no one seems to notice Cassian's quick fingers doing their magical business of relieving them of their pocketbooks.

"Sounds like the sort of folks I try to avoid in business," Cassian says passively. He considers it a moment with careful thought. "I prefer business dealings with people who can realize their own rational logic. People who react emotionally make bad business partners," he says, before leaning close to give her a bit of attention at her neck. Just a bit of a nibble at her neck.

"It's sometimes a good reason to avoid them, yes." Roz tells him with a chuckle as she continues to dance. "You don't like irrational thinkers, huh?" she asks him. There's a look back towards where the booths are and a slight smirk at the memory there. "I can understand that though." she adds a few seconds later. When he leans in to nibble at her neck just a bit there's a moment her eyes close and she loses track of people as she bumps into someone. That makes her jump a bit, "I'm so sorry about that." she states as she turns to look at who she had run into.

"I don't like irrational thinkers in my business dealings, no. In my personal life, well, I'm a little more flexible with them," he says, following her eyes to the booth. "Extremely flexible, sometimes," he adds. When she slips a little closer and accidentally bumps someone, he would have used the moment. But soon, she's apologizing, and he keeps his hands to her body.

Roz gives an apologetic look to the gent she bumped into and then focuses back on Cassian. "I'm flexible all the time." she murmurs to him. "How long did you want to work?" she asks him with a smile as she presses a bit closer to him. "You distract me when you nibble my neck. I know I'm horrible." she muses softly.

"Depends how long it takes for you to want something to do something else," he says, letting his hands take a trip down her sides. It was a deliberate set of movements. "I just like to keep myself in the game--I already have the best lift I could manage," he explains.

Roz gives a soft laugh, "Mmm. I quite enjoy dancing with you, but we can also do that at home." she tells him. Had they ever said they were a couple? It was just like one day they were living together! "And practicing is never a bad thing." she tells him gently. When he states he's got the best lift he could manage already she grins, "Well then, now you have the best lift and a girl to take home." she winks at him.

"The girl was the job the whole time," he says, grinning a bit. "What are you thinking? Home? A booth?" He asks playfully, before he takes a moment to glance around them. He got distracted away from the marks. But, you don't get too greedy.

Rozalia quirks her eyebrow at him again, wanting to ask which girl, but she doesn't. She let's him have his secret. "I was thinking somewhere closer to home." she tells him with a smile. "We can come back another night...or go somewhere new." she states as she starts to turn and head for the exit so that they can get going back towards home.
