EW01 - Wilderness - Mischance Rise
The edge of the forest is always liminal, but the edge of this forest in particular, fraught with so much history, is more so. The trees here are both older and darker than those distantly visible downslope, those which grow nearer the kindness of those who care for them, not kill them. These trees have seen death. These trees have seen mysteries beneath the dappling, deceptive dance of light and shadow through leaves green and bright and gold.
Passing from the open sky to rustling branches overhead, the open meadowlands and hillsides which have blanketed the land beyond the little mountain road give way to undergrowth and berry thickets, dense and full of life, stretching ever upward toward the sun.
