Overview

Haven Observatory was built in the mid-to-late nineteenth century. A small observatory whose equipment is now somewhat out of date, the observatory is little used by the university with which it is associated. The observatory grounds include a high altitude garden filled with local plants and are always open to the general public. The observatory itself is also open most evenings for stargazing. Upon request, a representative from the university astronomy department (most likely to be a harried graduate student) can be made available for tours, lectures, etc.
