A fearsome people. | |
Participants | 2017.10.16 Malakai and Molly meet for the first time. But it's a short meeting! |
Location
Molly's awesome. | |
The offices of Molly Crowley-Utridge, Fort Brusnett Treasurer. Mal pauses briefly before following behind Molly's assistant. Clearly this is a preplanned meeting. He's announced as Mr. Malaki Graywolf. He is the perfect mixture of civilized and savage. The Armani suit clinging to his slender form bespeaks the wealth he's known for, but it his hair, and the untamed glint in his eyes that marks him as being fully in the grip of his noble heritage. One hundred percent Comanche warrior. The bane of the old West. A fearsome people. However, he smiles and extends his hand in polite fashion, "Ms. Utridge, thank you in advance. I appreciate you taking time from your busy schedule to see me." Maybe Molly should have guessed with the Graywolf last name that she would be speaking with a man of Native American descent. But something about Gray's bearing as he enters her office is just remarkable to her. There's a dazzling smile from the petite redhead as she stands. She leans just a bit across her desk and takes the hand that is offered, giving him a firm shake, "It is no trouble at all, Mister Graywolf. I wanted to apologize for not replying to your letter personally. I had some personal business to attend to." she explains. "Please, have a seat." she offers to him. "Would you care for anything to drink?" she asks him as she smoothes the skirt of her red dress and retakes her own seat. After the brief handshake, Malaki does indeed take Molly up on her offer to sit. He very gracefully lowers into one of the high-back, leather chairs opposite her desk. He smoothes out the Armani manufactured material of his pants, canting his body to one side so he can gaze at Molly uninterrupted. "Nothing for me, thank you," he replies with another smile. His dark colored eyes move from her to various items in the office, politely refraining from staring to long. "I hope you have some clever ways in mind for me to spend my money, Ms. Utridge." He doesn't hyphenate, keeping it more casual. Molly watches him with those curious eyes of hers and there's a nod to her assistant when Malakai declines the drink. The man exits the office and leaves them to talk alone for the moment. There's more than a few pictures of her daughter in her office. But it's not Tumblr levels of annoyance. "I actually did have a few ideas on what would be clever." she tells him. "There's numerous youth charities that need donations. If you would be inclined to contribute to them I'm sure it would make your arrival to the city pretty stellar." she admits. "I don't think putting it into my personal 'build a resort' fund is a kosher or legal idea." she muses. "I'm open to anything that our youth will benefit from," the slender man states easily. However, Molly's additional comment draws his attention a bit closer to her. "Beyond that donation, I am interested in furthering my influence in the city. A partnership on a business isn't outside the realm of possibilities. As a silent partner of course." A text message in received by Malaki. The alert causes his attention to waiver just enough. He reads it briefly, interest flashing over his features. "I'm sorry Ms. Utridge," he is already moving to stand. "Something's come up that demands my immediate attention. You can consider my proposed donation double for the inconvenience and you must allow me to take you to dinner to discuss your resort ideas." "We'll make sure that your donation is noted to the appropriate charities then and I personally thank you for them, Mister Graywolf." Molly states. Then there's a smile, "I of course would be happy to discuss that at length with you if you are interested." she states. Then when he starts to stand, she does as well, apparently she does that as well, "Of course, there's no reason to apologize, we'll get together some other time to discuss other things. I hope that everything is alright, Mister Graywolf. Have a good evening." she tells him as he prepares to leave. "Another business venture, nothing to be concerned about," Malaki says with a relaxed smile. "I'll have my people contact your office to arrange dinner. It was a pleasure, Ms. Utridge. I look forward to a longer, uninterrupted meeting very soon." He'll shake her hand again, and comment on how lovely her daughter is before leaving. No doubt Molly's assistant will report he had a driver waiting in a luxury sedan. He was on the phone almost as soon as he left her office. There may be a report of a Methamphetamine dealer and two goons murdered violently a couple counties over in the new paper in the morning. Although, it's hardly related. |
