Jacob is shown the ropes on his first night at Desrochers.

Location

Desrochers

It's Jacob's first night as a full Desrocher's employee. Noah had shown him some of the ropes yesterday and now he was halfway through his first shift. And Signe is tending the bar alone tonight. What luck. The silver haired woman is dressed in well worn, but fitted jeans, a black tank top and her boots. Alocer is off towards the back door behind the bar on a large pillow. Seems like the night is finally starting to quiet down.

Jacob actually did dress up a little for his first night - after all, its no suit and tie, but you don't want to look TOO ratty on Day One, do you? Somce nicer jeans with a couple of strategically arranged holes in the butt seams to let that ITS NOT FLUFFY tail escape, a nice pain blue tshirt, and fingerless black leather gloves, he's done a good job of keeping Signe well stocked up with supplies and replacing the beer tanks when the spigot and taps run low, and he hasn't even had to growl at anyone to get them to behave...though Alocer might have had a few extra boneless wings than he normally gets - puppies gotta band together, right? When the night starts to calm down, he pauses at the end of the bar, leaning on it for just a moment to sweep his gaze around the front room, then shoots a curious look at Signe, "Everything good? I think I got everything caught up."

Signe probably got caught looking at wolfboy a few times, but hey, she's looking out for him. There's a bit of a grin though as she catches him sneaking Alocer a wing. That spoiled dog. Signe is just finishing up pouring someone their last drink for the night, "This is your last one, Bill. We'll call you a cab when you're ready to go home. Leave the keys here and I'll give them to Shirley." she tells him. Then she turns to look at Jacob and there's a smile, "Everything's going good. You've been staying on top of things so it's been awesome." she tells him.

Jacob grins brightly at the praise, "Awesome. Thanks for being patient while I learn my way around. Noah was a big help in showing me around...you have a pretty straightforward setup here." With that said, he straightens up and stops leaning on the bar, eyeing Bill for a moment, then slips around behind Signe to grab one of the bar towels, "So you tend bar here AND you run a tattoo parlor? AND you keep up with him (nodding towards Alocer)? You have a lot of energy. I'm impressed."

"It's your first full day. Of course I'm going to be patient." Signe states with a smile to him. "Not that as time goes on I'm going to get upset at things. It's a laid back place." she admits. Then there's a smile, "I don't have much else to do but work and take care of Al. Not dating and already done with school basically means I'm just...working." she tells him with a half smile.

Jacob rumbles softly as he slips back behind her to step out to a table that needs wiping down, "I'm sure with THIS job, a pretty girl like you gets a couple of people hitting on you every day. I suppose that might turn my ass off of dating as well. That tail sways back and forth as he gets in to rubbing the table dry and clean, checking the chairs before moving on to the next, "We should have a code word, so if someone doesn't take no for an answer, I cna come growl at them for you. Not that you need protecting, but some idjits always think 'no' from a woman means 'try harder'. Well, you know, not that you need me telling you that."

"She always tells guys no." Bill speaks up with a little hiccup. "She's just grumpy." he adds with a sage nod.

There's a look to Jacob and a smile, "I think most people just see pretty face and don't want to get past that and see other things." she tells him. "But, there's some possibilities." she mentions. "It could be Banana...or something ludicrous like Mary Poppins." she giggles. Then there's a look to Bill, "Hey. You shush." she laughs at him.

Jacob grins, lumping the towel over his shoulder. He gives Bill's back a pat as he passes and offers, "She's not grumpy. But then I haven't been hitting on her either." He winks at Signe and eases back around the bar to stow the towel in the laundry bin, then leans against the back wall and folds his arms over his chest, squirming his hips a little to avoid sitting ON his tail. The question is directed to the head of silver hair, "Banana daquiri should work. Cause I dont think you make one here..."

Bill just laughs and then texts to get himself a cab. He wasn't going to give the girl a hard time.

Signe meanwhile gives a look to Jacob and there's a chuckle, "Well no one said you couldn't." she laughs at that. When he moves to stand at the back wall behind her there's a look over her shoulder to him, "That works." she tells him with a smile as she starts to dry off a few more glasses and puts them up.

Jacob rumbles softly at her correction and chuckles softly under his breath, "I've heard flirting with coworkers, especially the one that got you the job, is a risky proposition. ESPECIALLY when she's already told you she isn't dating. Besides, it's my first day..." He seems rather amused at that, eyeing what she's working on before leaning forward to grab some of the glasses off the drying rack to help wipe them down and put them up with her.

Signe gives a look to him and there's a soft smile, "It's sometimes risky, yes." she tells him. "But, I don't mind dating, just most guys want to bang and then go back to chasing tail." she shrugs. "I'd like to find someone." she adds to that as she puts some more glasses away. "Thank god Noah's not here, he'd be making faces at me for being mushy." she muses. "And you're newly arrived, so I'm sure that you'll want to see what's available." she winks at him.

Jacob laughs for a moment and wiggles his ass just enough to move that tail, "Well, I haven't ever chased my own, and well, he might already glare at you a bit. I implied you told me he liked My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. He looked at me like I grew a second head." Flashing a mouth full of teeth for a second, he lightly bumps his shoulder against hers while putting two more glasses away, "If you want to find someone, then there's no harm looking. Its not like shopping for a new car, afraid to make a purchase because something better might come along. You find something that makes you happy, pounce on that like your life depended on it. Be a shame to miss out on someone that makes you happy because you somehow thought you might do better."

"That's not what I meant." Signe chuckles as she looks to him. "And you didn't..." she laughs at what he told Noah. "He's going to glue my doors shut." she muses. "And I'm a tattoo artist and I sling drinks. Most guys don't want a girl that does that stuff." she chuckles. Then she looks to Jacob, "I did sort of pounce you the other night." she whispers to him with a wink.

Jacob grins again at the door comment, a soft 'heh' escaping him. When she talks about guys not liking bartenders and tattoo artists, he arches a brow and looks at HER like she sprouted a head, "You're a creative artist and you know your way around alcohol. Those sound like pros to me, not cons. Whoever you've been shopping with, you need a better catalog." The whisper of pouncing him draws a soft laugh and he actally reaches out to lightly drag those little clawpoints across her back, while he steps around her, "Sneaky, and I thought that was all accidental caused by Alocer. He's a lot more clever than I thought."

"I know right. You'd think I would have guys lining up." Signe chuckles to him. "New catalog sounds good though." she muses. Then there's a shiver when he drags those clawpoints across her back. There's a bit of a grin to him, "If only that had been premeditated. It was completely an accident." she tells him.

Jacob grins when she confirms it was indeed an accident, letting those claws linger JUST long enough to give her side a momentary squeeze, then withdraws his hand, "Well, I don't think I'll complain if Alocer keeps causing more accidents. Guess I need to make sure to go out for walks with you two more often to give him the opportunity, after all." With that said, he eyes Bill as the man starts for the door and his cab, calling out, "Have a safe ride home, man."

Signe gives him a warm smile, her cheeks reddening just a bit as he gives a squeeze. "We can make that happen." she tells him with a smile. "Do you want to get food after we close? My treat." she tells him with a look to him.

Jacob thinks about that for a moment, "Food would be good. Don't get me wrong, the food you have here is good...just after smelling it all day, I'd kinda prefer something ELSE." He tilts his head, "You aren't a vegetarian, are you? Cause I might get awfully annoying to a vegetarian..."

"No, I totally get the smell. I only pick up food here when I've not worked all day." Signe tells him with an agreeing nod of her head. "I was thinking steak or something. Anything with mashed potatoes." she grins at him. "Goodness no, I'm not a vegetarian." she shakes her head.

Jacob grins at that and nods slowly, "If you were thinking steak and potatoes, then I think we are going to get along JUST fine." There's a soft growling noise, at which point he reaches for his own stomach, "And I guess that means the stomach agrees with you. Steak it is." Another grin is flashed, showing those canines a little sheepishly.
