Everyone knows they're a slimy lot who'd cover the town in tacky gold statues and level the local forest in favor of a golf course given the opportunity. They're nouveau riche, or are they? Old money that lost money and then conned everyone until they started making money again? Well, in any case, everyone knows you can't trust them! (But everyone also knows they pay well.)
Yvonne is no different, though she's a little less outright power grabby than some of her relatives. She's a well-known face around town, not just for being a local entrepreneur but for being rather well-connected. That's to be expected for someone who runs with the local boating club, of course. She's known to cozy up with the local politicians when it suits her, and throw her monetary weight behind whomever agrees to push the ordinances she wants through the local council.
The daughter of a father whose law degree turned out to be an excellent cudgel to wield in the field of campaign financing and a mother worthy of Real Housewives, Yvonne grew up in a cold and distant household which equated money with love. Of course, she's the natural product of such an environment. She disappointed daddy dearest a little bit by not following his footsteps into law school herself, but has somewhat redeemed herself in the eyes of the family by opening up a local spa and botanical garden to attract wealthy clientele to the area.
