Haven Observatory was built in the mid-to-late nineteenth century. A small observatory whose equipment is now somewhat out of date, the observatory is not used much anymore by the nearby university with which it is associated. The observatory grounds, which include a high altitude garden, are always open to the general public. The observatory itself is also open most evenings for stargazing.
